Rankings list of their sangas:
Backstabber Chicken Schnitty Hot Mama YOLO DBL Ham Not-a-Reuben Pesto Chicken
Let me elaborate please.
First of all, this place deserves recognition for their toasted bread - has to be one of the things that makes this place. I would also recommend getting their chips as a side - thin and crunchy with chicken salt, very good.
Now onto the sandwiches.
Backstabber chicken - Incredible, the chilli chicken in this is just amazing. Probably one of my favourite sandwiches, your day can only get better after eating this.
Schnitty - The schnitty sandwich is not exactly something special, BUT as mentioned before the combiniation of ingredients they use with it has to be my 2nd favourite on this list.
Hot Mama YOLO - This is basically a Portugese chicken burger but in a sandwich, you may ask "Why wouldnt i just go to Oporto?" Well dont let this simple explanation of the sandwich stir your opinion as in combination with their toasted bread. This makes for a really good satisfying sandwich.
DBL Ham - This sandwich is actually probably really good if you are a fan of mushrooms, This was a really hard to decide whether it should be 3rd place instead of Hot Mama YOLO, but as mentioned before if you are a fan of mushrooms this'll probably be your 1st pick.
Not-A-Reubun - My Colleague is a big fan of mustard (not so much myself) he rates this sandwich 1st place. You probably will to if you love your mustard.
Pesto Chicken - Not gonna lie, it is last place for a good reason, not to say that it is neccessarily bad but the first bite was really good but you get over the pesto...
Read moreDecent coffee and food, but the service left me infuriated and upset. I ordered an iced latte and sat at a desk for quite a few minutes. During this whole time, quite a few people flocked in, got their coffee and went away. My patience was running out as I saw more and more people come in and go. I walked up to front desk and caught a glimpse of a cup of milk with some ice on the counter top. I was pretty sure that was mine for it was cold out there then so generally people got themselves hot drinks. I asked the female barista (In white, Asian, in her 20s or something) what was going on and why it took so long. I am pretty sure I kept my 100% cool and was being polite. She literally ignored me and walked away as if I did not exist, leaving me utterly confused and speechless. I understand your were busy, but it did not justify you being rude (for me waiting for a substantially longer time than other customers for a coffee while not apologising nor explaining what had happened).
Go get better training, particularly in terms of etiquette, before you start...
Read moreI have been working my way through a number of the CBD breakfast cafes in recent months. Grindhouse is a bright cheery looking cafe, well lit with happy welcoming staff who reflect the decor.
I saw a few plates of Eggs Benedict come out and it is clear this kitchen takes pride in their food presentation. My breakfast roll is a bit more than your average breakfast roll. The roll is bigger, it has avocado and a hash brown in it and the egg is perfectly cooked.
An excellent meal and the best breakfast roll I have had in months. I have had some excellent breakfasts lately and I think the Grindhouse may be the best. Highly...
