Flawless. Delicious. Great food and service. We had sushi, sashimi, tempura, Gyoza and Beef Tataki. All of them excellent. I honestly can’t imagine how they could be improved and I’ve been to Japan many times. Then there’s the multi-page Sake list featuring at least 50 Sakes most of which you can try in 100ml flasks to share and then buy in the bottle shop. We tasted seven different Sakes selected for us and all were unique and top quality. I bought three different 720ml bottles to take home. Very reasonably priced for the food and Sake for both table service and the bottle shop. When you’re over Sake they have Suntory Malts on tap including the dark one. Awesome. The only thing I would change is putting lights over the tables next to the wall so I can see more of the food.

I feel the overall experience is quite average. At $88 for 6 courses, it appears quite decent value, however I didnt find it all that tasty or that fresh. It was just ok, some dishes were nice enough, some weren't. Orderd my tween a $77 5 course meal. And even tho the sake was charged, wasn't served, not even to the adults instead. Also for $11 less than the $88, you're much better off ordering the $88 course as you loose about 4 items including no chawanmushi, no kingfish, no salmon apetiser and no desert. I really wish we had just gone a la carte like most other diners. As in the degustation course , Service was slow and altho polite, it didnt feel that welcoming compared to other Japanese restaurants we have been to.

A group of 4 of us came here, as part of our continual exploration of Japanese cuisine in Sydney. The restaurant appears to be a relocation of the Mino in Mosman, however more focused on sake. We tried the a la carte menu and had a variety of food. Sashimi was fresh, but the slices were quite thin for the size of the plate. The fried dishes though were on point. Light batter and crispy. Recommend the Kaki Fry, Croquettes, and Soft Shell Crab. Service was also good and the environment was quiet. Will come back again 👍

The Owner/Chef REJECTED us at the door when we turned up for our dinner reservation on a weekday evening. Reason given because they did not want kids in their restaurant. Dinner booking made for me and my 2 big kids (7 and 13 yrs old) at which point we discussed the table minimum which was no issue for my family. This is a casual neighbourhood typical Japanese food restaurant. The Owner and Waitress were SO COLD and RUDE. And there is ZERO ambiance in the restaurant. Good luck Honda Mino - you do not understand hospitality and your locale in St Leonards/Crows Nest. Zero stars for total lack of communication and lack of respect for your...
