KING TEA 皇茶 (Hurstville) — Restaurant in Sydney

2nd July around 7pm (for reference). Disgusting service and drink. Two staffs were working ( a guy and a lady). The lady took my order which was a HOT matcha drink. My boyfriend and I were watching the guy make my drink where he had added ice just before handing it to me. The lady had then informed him that I ordered HOT not COLD. She tells him to pour half the ice out and leave half in. HE DID THAT AND HANDED THE DRINK TO ME. ( Sorry but how does pouring half of the ice out suddenly make it a HOT drink?) My boyfriend informed him AGAIN that we ordered HOT NOT COLD. He turns back around and pours half the drink in the sink then the lady tells him in Chinese that it was OKAY to leave some ice in it. She later tells him to ADD HOT WATER to fill the rest of the cup up. I mean seriously? right Infront of us? The drink was so watered down that it was just warm water with a tablespoon of milk.

I've never written reviews like this but this was seriously a horrendous experience. If you don't like making drinks, go find another job. There's no need for disrespecting your costumers. The quality of the drink was UNDRINKABLE!! To anyone reading this, save your money, energy and taste buds....

Group of 8 adults with kids went there for dinner and tea time on Sunday night - 28/11/2021 around 7.30pm. I ordered a brown sugar with fresh milk for my kids and received a brown sugar milk tea. That's okay as people make mistakes sometimes so we politely came back to the counter and asked for an exchange to the correct ones because my kids not able to drink tea at night time. The female staff wearing pink LA cap without saying a word grabbed the cup and threw to bin straight away in front of us. Extremely rude! We finally got our brown sugar bubble with fresh milk for the kids....but also got bad vibe for the whole evening due to extremely poor customer service from King Tea. After ordering I sat at the table waiting right in front of the stall. 15minutes later after not being called, I checked and drink is just sitting there. I ordered the strawberry yukult. After a few sips, found no more liquid left. Waited another 15minutes for ice to melt, opened lid to find still half a cup of ice, see picture. Complained and was told this is an ice crush. One I did not order an ice crush, 2 When I said the ice is not crushed and I can’t even drink the ice, she said this is the way it is. Eventually after complaining for another 5minutes, I got half a refund. Poor service, conflict resolution and It’s not really acceptable to have 9.50 drink and paying...
