I’ve been going to Ladda’s for 20 years! Yes that’s right she has been around for that long, honestly nothing has changed about her quality, service and reputation to deliver absolutely amazing thai dishes. What makes her different? There’s so many thai restaurants. Well she’s consistent always. Her recipes are not laden with too much sugar also which is a huge bonus as so many thai places over sweeten their dishes. Also she is always there to greet you with a smile and she remembers you and your order. It’s a tiny place, great for a quick eat in or take away and enjoy at home. My faves are the beef salad laden with fresh mint, lime and coriander and roasted ground rice for that crisp crunch. The Chicken green curry with tender slow cooked goodness, it never fails to give you that warmth and satisfaction only a mother could make. Green veggies with basil and chilli is fresh crispy, with smack of fresh chilli to keep you alive and well. Love your work Ladda and the team are always so wonderful and happy. Huge fan, my favourite Thai...

5* all the way! The best Pad Thai I had in 11 years of living in Sydney! 13 dollar lunch special and the portion size is soo big. I didn't leave a crumb behind and currently roll to work. I just couldn't stop eating it. It's cooked fresh to portion loaded with vegetables and packed with all the right flavours. The shop isn't fancy but authentic and the staff is really nice greeting you with a smile. We just moved to the area and this will be our new thai local. I can't wait to try more dishes. My partner had the hokkian noodles with chicken and he...

Ladda’s is a takeaway restaurant with the option of sitting in. It is not a eat-in restaurant so please don’t assume so or let it cloud your judgement of this place. Their priority is the food and it shows.

The food is fresh and it is tasty. The people making it are friendly and genuine. It’s affordable and the portion sizes are generous. I have many fond memories running up to put in an order before it closed or sitting in and having a laugh with my housemate as he scoffed their delicious duck curry.

Keep up...

A secret gem hidden in Sydney inner suburbs. Aunty Ladda is very friendly. The green curry is my favourite, authentic flavour. Big portion with a small amount. Highly recommend their lunch special on Mon-Sat, perfect for a quick stop lunch or dinner or even take away. Bring your own meal box if you want to reduce amount of single use plastic. The decorations remind me of local Thailand made to order meals near the Grand Palace (if you been to Bangkok you know it) Clean food good taste, one of the best in Newtown.

Cozy little takeaway on the end of King St. Ordered pad Thai, fried rice and spring rolls. The pad Thai had that nice char to it but was too sweet for my preference. The fried rice was excellent with a great mix of veggies and not too oily. The spring rolls were crispy and tasted house made, quite large and filling. The staff were very friendly and seems to have a lot of regulars coming in. Price was reasonable as well. There not a ton of seating so more for takeaway.

A great Thai restaurant with really good fried rice! Good heating and nice bright lights make this place a comfortable place to sit down and enjoy a nice warm meal. Staff are really nice and friendly as well! Ate the pork basil rice and pineapple fried rice, both of which left me satisfied. Overall a good place to get great Thai food!
