We're back to this restaurant after a while for a quick lunch recently. They're still good and serve good, authentic Hunan dishes with full of flavors and spices. Their menu also keeps evolving and so you'll try different dishes over time. We tried the pan-seared barramundi with chilli sauce, mashed eggplant + century egg salad and stir-fried tofu w/ pork belly in chilli sauce. They're all good and tasty dishes, but we especially love the barramundi fish dish. Recent development has made this place no longer a good place to have authentic Hunan dishes. I think the new management has tried to keep some Hunan dishes in their menu offering but the taste is no longer authentic. Downgrade from 4-stars to 2-stars after recent visit.

We ordered 7 dishes at 20:18. The first dish wasn't served until 21:00. There were at least 3 other groups of customers that came later than us who got served first. We kept reminding the staff we came first and should be served first, yet other customers' food kept coming but ours. By 21:18, we only got three of our dishes and we were still starving. By 21:30, they said the rest of our food "is being cooked now". By that time, other tables have already been served, they were even ordering extras. We finished the meal at 21:50.
We solemnly addressed our grievances at the checkout, but the staff refused any compensation and said we should forgive them because it's Lunar New Year.
I can't comment on how the food tastes, because I was fed up by the...
Read moreI have been here twice with my family. The food has been consistently fresh and tasty. My dad is usually very hard to impress when it comes to Chinese food. He always thinks he can make the dishes the same or better at home, so it was a rare occurrence for him to say “Mm, the flavour is really great!” about multiple dishes. Also, the service was very good on both occasions, which is another rarity for a Chinese restaurant. The owner is very friendly. She even gave us her own supply of chamomile tea free of charge when we tried to order it before we realised they didn’t have it on the menu. That is going...
