Mad Mex Castle Towers — Restaurant in Sydney

Apart from the lack of filling like they are rationing due to extreme food shortages. They just have no idea. Staff should be better trained. It was the most simple request of the type of cheese they use, the best answer I got was "shredded cheese" Obviously it's shredded cheese because it's sitting in the tub, shredded. They hire people that barely speak any English having to use hand gestures to ask for the fillings I wanted. Then have the nerve to get upset at me because I've asked them to maybe change the browning wilted lettuce that looked like it's been there for 4 days. I opted for no lettuce because they refused to use a fresh batch. This is what happens when you hire children who just don't care about anything except using their phones, while wearing the gloves they use to make the food. She also used her gloved hands to sweep off the scraps that fell onto the bench after making our order. Usually I wouldn't eat it, this time I am and I pray I get food poisoning from it so I can send the food safety authority to inspect the place. Judging by their practice, im sure a fine will be issued....

Went here for lunch today and had such a great experience. I ordered the quesadilla filled with their special beef (+$1) and added guacamole (+$2) along with the usual fillings. The tortilla was perfectly toasted, the beef was tender and full of flavour, and the guacamole was fresh and creamy — it tied everything together so well.

I also tried the Grande Melt with the standard fillings, chipotle honey chicken (+$1) and guacamole (+$2). The chicken had a lovely smoky-sweet flavour, and the cheese was gooey and perfectly melted. Everything tasted fresh and well-prepared, and the portions were generous without feeling heavy.

Service was OK, could be better, as the person who served me did not appear to be in a good mood.

Update 19/10: Came here for lunch today and it was a really bad experience compared to my first one as my guacamole had some weird object in it which the staff told me it was just unripe avocado. I told the staff that it felt like a seed or something weird but they were very defensive and did not assist me in anyway to resolve...

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Max Max Castle Towers. The service I received from one of the staff members, an Indian girl wearing a bandanna, was unacceptable. Despite being from the same cultural background, my friend and I were treated with disrespect.

We were overcharged twice the price for extra guacamole, and the fillings that normally come with the meal were not provided. When I tried to order, I was shut down and dismissed with a hand gesture. The staff member's attitude and behavior were unprofessional, and she continued to make faces and talk back to us in front of other customers.

Fortunately, another staff member intervened and politely resolved the issue. However, the poor service and attitude of the initial staff member have left a sour taste.

As a regular customer, I'm saddened by this experience. I hope the management takes steps to address these issues and ensures that customers receive the respect and service they deserve.
