We came and checked out Ms Dumpling. This restaurant reminded us of Shanghai, no frills. You get what you see. Don't expect anything flash. You order at the front counter and they give you a number. There is Chinese vinegar & soy with tissues and chilli sauce on the tables. The waitress brought us water and I asked for small dishes for the sauces. I thanked her in mandarin and she smiled. We chose the Pork & garlic chive dumplings and the Dry Flat Rice noodle with beef. The dumplings were bigger than we were expecting and the tastiest dumplings I've had in quite a while - 5/5. The rice noodle dish was lacking flavour and was very salty which was disappointing as presentation was excellent - 2 1/2/5. I would definitely come back to try the other dumplings and a different dish. Considering it's location in on the lower level on Castle Towers, the price was excellent and well worth trying.

Not hygienic restaurant at all. Here I will point out the sauce bottles that stays on every table. They were super messy and sticky on all the tables. I’m attaching the photo for my table. Secondly, waitress gave us bowls to start with entree and bowl was sticky from inside as it wasn’t washed properly and seems like someone’s else dumpling was sticking inside the bowl. Thirdly, the restaurant floor was super dirty. They only clean the floor from the entrance but when we came to the back tables to sit our table has food spilled on the floor and it was dry. So if it was dry before we went there it means that food on the floor was there since morning and no waitress or manager bothered to get it cleaned. Fourthly, the soya sauce bottle was leaking when we were pouring it. This was really a ridiculous experience I have ever had.

I want to gatekeep because this place is amazing but because of their rating they deserve a good review. 🗣GO TO THIS PLACE IF YOU WANT GOOD FOOD AT A GOOD PRICE 🗣 The fried pork buns are juicy, crunchy and well seasoned. There's actually more broth in the dumplings than the xiao longbao. The eggplant dumplings are a great meat alternative that give you umami satisfying flavour. The beef we ordered was generous in portion size and delicious. Compared to taste of Shanghai the portions are larger, cheaper and in my opinion, better tasting. It's a small restaurant with a lot to offer. Definitely recommend

Terrible. Absolutely terrible, disgusting and horrendous service and food. My family and I used to eat here alot and were regulars until recently. Majority of the time that we ate there, the food is very inconsistent (heavily salted to the point it was very unsafe, unhealthy and inedible to consume) the staff has poor communication to their customers in handling customer complains and concerns.

Usually we just ignore it and try to eat the food because we were raised not to waste food. But enough is enough. We work hard for our money and so eating food that we can't even eat and that can be easily fixed should be more then a good reason enough.

Especially, we've eaten here a good amount of times and in other places too. To know what is right and what is not. I also feel really bad for my mom to eat such heavily salted food knowing her health condition.

We informed the staff of how salty our food was and asked politely if we could please get it remade. Please keep in mind that we only took a few small bites to quickly realise the issue. So the plate was very much full. We were very patient, respect and understanding .The waitress then left and never came back until we told another waiter our concern. We waited for her for so long and she intentionally avoided us. Which is when they communicated in other language that our request was denied, I was able to understand the language fortunately and was appalled that they denied a reasonable and simple request.

The other waiter then informed us, "we can't do it. That's just how it is". That's utterly ridiculous. The food is inedible. No one can eat rhat! 99% of the food was a huge spoonful of salt dumped in the food! We couldn't even take another bite after the first few. it was unbearable and no. That's not "how it is". The food is very inconsistent! Some days its very salty, normal or bland! But majority of the time its salty!

It was a lazy, pathetic and stupid excuse for a reasonable request. How could we possible pay for the food we can't even eat properly!

Fortunately the manager straight away without hesitation took the plate and replaced it for us. Which was extremely appreciated as we all dont want to make a huge hassle over it. But cmon. Why just why? How could you possibly make us pay for something that was not edible? Never ever eating nor supporting this place no more. Save yourself the hassle and money and go somewhere else that's more professional, not money hungry and not trying to kill you with ridiculous amount of salt. Do...

I’ve been coming here for a long time - both dine in and take away. Very rarely have any issues with quality or taste with food. Price is not too bad. Had an issue with my phone order last night but.. it is what it is 🤷🏻‍♀️ I ordered wonton in chilli oil but the receptionist put down prawn mini wontons in chilli oil ($3 extra). She said food would be ready in 20 minutes. I came after 30 minutes for pick up and when checking the receipt to pay I told her she put the wrong order down for that dish. She told me the prawn is nice and if I can eat prawn. I said yes I can eat prawn but that’s besides the point. I asked for the pork wontons. And she said she can either cancel the dish itself or I wait for that dish to get cooked to the correct order. I told her I ordered the food and I have to pick it up and go straight away and don’t have time to wait. I asked that since I actually ordered for my correct dish and she put down the wrong order, it’s really her responsibility to waiver it. I told her I’m happy to take the dish if she marks it down to the price of the dish I originally asked for as that’s what I expected when I placed the order and waited. she said no, I can either pay full price for the wrong dish or just go home without it. As a pregnant 8 month lady, there’s absolutely no way I’d go home without getting something I wanted and ordered and waited for and especially when they got it wrong. I’m starving at this point so I just said whatever. I’ll pay for the wrong dish.

I spent almost $150 on my order for my family and I usually spend about a minimum $120+ every time I order and eat here. Just disappointed, mistakes can happen but they should also be able to rectify their mistakes and give leniency where it should be given as well.

Even after all that, I still bought extra drinks whilst I was waiting because my order was still not ready after 35+ minutes and was waiting for another dish to be ready after all.

Next time, I’ll give myself 40+ minutes to expect my order...

Food are great especially the Special Fried Rice and the various handmade dumplings they have (ie Pork and Chive, Prawn). But they are quite greasy and the other dishes such as the Stir fry vegs can be quite salty. Very broad menu with some sweets stuff and customisable options too, eg reducing soy sauce in stir fry, switching out egg for more ham. Be aware though that some of the buns are just bought frozen then steamed; they are overpriced! I can get them cheaper in the Asian supermarkets. Food 4/5

Service is standard Chinese service. Order and pay first, they assign you a table and try to squeeze you in to a table that matches the number of people (in busy times). The staff are severely underpaid but they are very hard workers and so friendly if you have questions. Take the time to get to know the kitchen ladies, they are so nice! I hope the business gets cracked down for how miserably underpaid the staff are for the 10+ hours they have to work, especially the waitresses and counter lady. Service 3/5 + 1 support

The restaurant is well-lit and decorated to fit the culture. From outside, it looks beautiful. Inside, the place can sometimes be quite messy especially in peak hours. The tables are very small and if ordering many items, can't all fit with the utensils and sauces. Do hope they use tables with drawers instead to keep these things, as they get contaminated easily when people are walking in and out in such a cramped restaurant. Some kids play with the chopsticks and the parents just put them back, and the staff won't be any wiser. I can sense their stress so I prefer takeouts over eating...
