Manny's Diner Phillys & Pizza (chippendale) — Restaurant in Sydney

I’ll be honest—I was drawn in by the solid reviews and decided to give Manny’s a try. The photos made the portions look generous, especially for the $29 price tag of their OG Philly Cheesesteak on Uber Eats. Unfortunately, when I opened the roll, I was shocked by how little meat there was. It’s advertised as 200 grams of meat, but it definitely didn’t feel like it. For that price, the portion size was really disappointing.

Was the sandwich good? It was average at best, but the combination of the high price and small portion was a huge letdown. I’d be cautious about trusting the glowing reviews—they could be misleading. Honestly, advertised as $29 just isn’t worth it.

Edit: The owner has since replied and doesn’t seem to take feedback well. A Google review is meant to inform others considering buying in the future. Referring to the “price tagged” doesn’t mean I personally paid that amount—it’s the price everyone sees when ordering online.

Now that you’ve publicly explained there’s a 20% permanent discount, it seems a bit misleading. Why not just adjust the regular price to reflect what people actually pay? Had a manny's at Chippendale petrol station while I was refuelling. I was intrigued with their discounts on 40$ of fuelling. On inquiring it was revealed to be only applicable to the Margherita one. Got a Chicken one instead for 20$.

I'm a bit of a Pizza Nazi and do not judge a pizza palace that pours streaks of mayo xx on your Pizza as topping. This ruins the original taste. On top of that were the pink cooking onion he added to the pizza!. Who does that to a pizza?. Only white chopped onion are used everywhere! . The chicken itself felt weird. On one side was taste of full chunks and on one side came pieces of minced white chicken taste. Whats going on! ?.

At 20$ there are a number of gourmet Pizza competetitors in the vicinity. Since the owner looks real eager with his marketing to motorists on the pump (taking around free slices while they awaited a refill), I would ask him to checkup on his ingredients...

I'm one of those busy mums doing the at home learning with my five year old and we were feeling hungry and saw the broucher in our letter box and decided to ordered Manny's. We got the Philly cheese steak combo with the gourmet chips and can of drink l found the chips were quite spicy with the red sauce so just be mindful of spice is not your thing or your ordering for kids as well. There's also other options available such as plain chips. The food was estimated to take about half an hour for delivery and ended up arriving alot earlier which was super convient and expected as we do live not far to the extra.
