This used to be the go to place for everyone in South Maroubra, it was delicious tasty food and the absolutely best priced Chinese in NSW.

now it's under new management the prices have almost doubled Omletettes have gone from $8 to $12,fried rice has gone from $4.80 to $7.90 and mains have gone from$10.80 to up to $24.90 We wont bother anymore If I could give zero stars i would RIP village take away *UPDATE prices have gone up yet again it is now $11.90 for a small fried rice and $30 for honey prawns and they are no more exciting than any other take away Save your money and call red Jade in Hillsdale, meals are literally half the price and the food is better and its a nice sit down environment for a meal and they do free home deliveries to this area rather than a dirty take away in...

Very tasty & definitely recommend this food. We were pleasantly surprised when we tried the food here after reading the reviews. Both the chicken & sweetcorn soup and the wonton short soup were delicious (I’m fussy so was very happy)! We also had the combination satay dish which was perfect. As per most Chinese restaurant dishes, they use a lot of onion but it was really tasty with plenty of beef, chicken & prawns. We are fussy with our Chinese food & have only ever found 1 restaurant that puts lots of veges in all of their dishes, so if we want Veges we order a vegetable dish to go with it. Not sure where the bad reviews are coming from. We have ordered twice and have been very happy favs include Singapore noodles beef black bean special fried rice and honey prawns. Yes it is a bit expensive but you get what you pay for, and portions size is generous, we normally get 2/3 meals from our order. I eat a lot of Chinese and am very critical of bad food.
