RUDE SERVER ‼️‼️‼️ DON’T COME HERE
I’m a (regular) customer of Max Brenner - Parramatta. Every Wednesday and Thursday, I enjoy grabbing my coffee and waffle toasties in there.
The barista guy and the other guy at the counter (who are usually serving there in the morning) are both nice and accommodating!
However, this morning, I HAD WORST EXPERIENCE. Not with them, but with the Asian lady who served me this morning. Someone told me that she's the manager there, but surely, she needs MORE TRAINING to be deserving of that position.
This morning she was there, serving, with the other guy server. I ordered the same thing. A few minutes after they served me, I came back to show that the waffle toasties were pretty burned. I could barely bite it and I could sense the disgusting smell of it! That's why I came back to show it to them and asked if I could get another one as I believed they shouldn't serve something like that. It is indeed not up to the standards. I asked the guy nicely, and he even agreed with that, then he asked that lady about it. But this lady gave me a look that “You can still eat it”. She even touched the burnt part of it and said to me, “Okay, I’ll refund your money!”. How rude is that?
First, she didn't even apologize or acknowledge my concern. Second, she's completely unprofessional.
When I said, “I would like to have a replacement”. Instead of refunding my money, why not give me another one? I mean I can have my money back but I will still buy another one. She didn't understand that. Instead, she told me this “Someone didn't replace the battery of the machine last night, so it's like that…” And the way she said it was SO RUDE. Like she doesn't want to accept that it's her fault. Because she's the one who made and served it to me. Then, I told her, “I understand that was your problem. But I believe it's your job to check it before you start serving. It's not my problem. I paid for it and I want you to serve me another one.” I don't know if she has a problem understanding English or if she's just completely dumb. Because she responded by saying, “Okay, I take your feedback.” Then she left while I was still talking. HOW RUDE?! If she's the manager, please General Manager, provide her with lots of training!!! She doesn't know how to serve and handle customers professionally and doesn't understand simple concerns.
I was standing on the side and waiting. If not because of the guy server who checked on me after a few minutes, I wouldn't be able to know that she really didn't plan to serve me another waffle toastie. So that guy asked me and served me another one. But that lady didn't even bother to help him. She's not a good role model for him and BECAUSE OF HER, I’M NOT COMING BACK THERE. Before I encountered this experience this morning, she was already rude. I observed how she deals with her colleagues and customers as well. She's definitely incompetent and incapable of that position.
I told my friends about it, (as they recommended this place to me), and we are all not coming back to Max Brenner - Parramatta.

We were on our way home from a football game and decided to get some dessert, at the counter we said if we can get it as takeaway but can you bring it to us as we need to get a bus (the bus came in 25 mins). She said no problem and gave us a number. I also stated walking away that we would be sitting outside. About 20mins later (that was the first flag) a girl came running out yelling at us saying ‘where were you we have been calling you for the past 10mins’ and I said ‘I said to the girl at the counter we would be sitting outside that’s why she gave us the number she then kept on going on saying that we should had been waiting inside (it had been a very long day for us, the last thing we wanted to do is stand inside in the hot for 20mins). After all of this, my drink was cold and my partners milkshake was half froth. I have worked in hospo for the past 7 years, I am not one to complain, especially when the managers I’ve had to deal with, I understand what they are going through, but when you pay $40 for dessert, you expect them to at least not yell at you for their mistake.
