We did The Doll House on the weekend and this is one of their more scary escape rooms (with jump scares)

Me and my friends were lost finding the O’Connell St location, but the staff was amazing in helping us find it over the phone . We were also 20mins late to our booking time and they were so understanding to help us, thank you so much!!

SO FOR THOSE LOOKING FOR IT VIA THE PARRA WESTFIELDS PARKING: Exit from the escalators in front of Kmart. From there you can exit the glass doors, walk up the street and turn left into the business brick building that looks like apartments. The escape room is on level 2 which means you take the stair case on your right. When you go upstairs you will see it on your left!

Looking for SCRAM was probably the start of the escape room, and I don’t know if that was intentional!!

Anyway, our guide ANNIE, shout out to you, did an amazing job. I have never done a horror escape room before and my friends were just starting out so it was definitely something we talked about the whole day. I would not spoil it for those who are doing it but let’s just say my Apple Watch recorded the amount of times my heart rate spiked and it all thanks to Annie.

The rooms were done so well and the attention to detail was really good. You can tell they put a lot of thought behind the stories for these escape rooms. The lighting, props, music and sound effects were top tier and it was such a memorable experience.

We got our photos taken after the escape room and it was sent within the day and that was so nice of them.

I have also done the Alice in wonderland themed one too, and that was also a great experience! Definitely excited to do...

I don’t usually post reviews but as an escape room owner myself I thought giving this feedback was important.

I chose to play my 200th room at your venue at 820 tonight. I don’t announce that I have played this many or that I own and escape Room business myself as I like to be treated like any other gamer that plays at a venue.

The couple positives I have is that the room was good! We got out in 30 minutes and for a space themed room it was on point!

The game master was great as well! He did a fantastic job as a game master overall!

Unfortunately my only negative is around 850 when we got out of the room we asked to play both of the other rooms you have, or at least 1 more and were turned down. That would have been another 300 dollars for the venue and only 1.5 hours approx more labour costs. Just a bit disappointed in this area of dedication to your gamers/guests. I do understand if your team know that there are policies in place to leave at a certain time if that is the case. But honesty would have been appreciated. Felt like he just wanted to go home (which is fair) but still disappointing from a business point of view.

Thanks...

Great escape rooms and staff. I don't know how to review an escape room, but the staff was great. We did the Doll House 👶🏽🏚️, the scariest one at this location, which was very well designed and thought through. The only thing that ruined it (which wasn't really a big deal) but made it less immersive and scary was that Westfield Shopping Centre had something going on 🚨—not sure if it was a hostage situation, fire, or bomb threat—but there were alarms for a solid 20 minutes. I really didn't mind.

If you're a grown man 🧍‍♂️ it won't be scary, but if you aren't 😨 then too bad—you're gonna crawl up in a corner and the doll master 👹 is gonna eat you, which happened to us unfortunately. Teammate was curled up in a corner 😵, and I couldn't progress without them, so the doll master ate us both ☠️.

After we were eaten, Kiara 🦸‍♀️ brought us back to life and showed us the last few puzzles 🧩 we had to complete in order to escape the master. We weren't even far—someone was just a scary cat 🐱 but whatever.

Overall, it was great. I recommend the Doll House even if you think it'll be...

First time going to escape rooms, I went to all 3 rooms and CR-18 was my favourite to solve while doll house was my favourite unique experience. Some of the escape rooms had a few unintentional red herrings such as power sockets, books that opened up, "birdcage", "knight" and not being informed at the start that some of the lock's combination was on the spine of lock. Changing these could have improved our time and made the experience more satisfying. But I want to thank Jess, Anica and Nick for being such awesome Game Masters and helping us get through the room when we struggled, giving us a chance to get the whole experience and giving us an overview of the room afterwards for when we had questions. I will definitely go and check out the other Scram site to see what newer experiences they have in store.
