2024 visit. Sydney Dance venue tested. Yeah, sorry I know you love this place. They make your coffee as you love it and remember your name. What does a 1 off reviewer know? Well, I know gnocchi. I know that packet gnocchi is as necessary here as incense to a church. Yes, it does a job, but there are other ways. It's actually not that tough to make your own, especially when there are just 2 hot meals on offer. Even so, packet can work, but it's actually harder to get right. Undercooked, as these are, you're presented with lumpy lards that find their way to coat your mouth's roof, like the impenetrable shield of glutinous floury potato that they are. The sauce would save the day, if the very decent sugo (yes, it would qualify as an italian ragu) had the promised mushroom ragout, and not 2 buttons, sliced in Hitchcock "shower scene" style, barely cooked...which was about as far from a ragout as this reviewer is from France, home of the ragout. It's a pleasant place with lovely team, and a pleasure to sit in. By all accounts, it serves its area really well. So, don't take the blatherings of a very particular reviewer to ward you off. Just don't order the gnocchi.

Really enjoyed my visit to Mr Jones Cafe. I had the beetroot salad and it was spot on. Fresh, simple and full of flavour. The coffee was exactly how I like it, smooth and not too strong, with lovely latte art. The staff were warm and genuine, and it didn’t feel rushed or overly busy. It’s the kind of place I’d happily come back to on my own or with a friend. Relaxed, good food and just easy to be in.

Lovely little gem that feeds hungry office & warehouse folks in the area with their delicious & healthy feed. Yummy ham cheese & tomato toastie with whole grain bread for $7 perfect & filling for brekky. Coffee’s on point & they do delicious Lunch Specials daily.

You can not go past this place. We are not in the building but local. I take most of my work meetings here and they are always impressed with the service, the food and the coffee (most importantly). I am always amazed at how quickly they move through the lines and how JP remembers everyones name, after one or two...
