✨TLDR: Known to have the best gado gado in sydney, it definitely lives up to the hype😍 Portion was MASSIVE, i had to take half of it home. Generous variety of veggies, tofu, lontong & sauce ✅✅

Their sauce is a bit sweeter than my liking, i like Ayam Bakar 7 saudara's one slightly more. But this wins in terms of portion size and value!! 💯Nasi goreng was also good, has that wok hay to it that I like.

💸 FYI they're cash only or bank transfer! ———————— Food ordered (🌟=favs): ▫️Gado Gado $23 🌟 - 8/10 - really tasty and good value for the price

▫️Nasi Goreng Ayam Goreng $18 (fried rice w/ fried chicken) - 7/10 - standard, good fried rice

▫️Sop Buntut $23 (Ox bone clear soup w/ rice) - 6.5/10 - soup a bit bland for me ————— Service: Decent but if I had to nitpick, service wasn’t as friendly as other Indo restaurants I’ve been to. Might be a bit intimidating especially if you don’t...

Generous portions, tasty, fair price, the most polite service!

Stumbled across this place in need of a quick meal. Place was nearly deserted but as I came in a very friendly young man dashed out and asked what I would like. When I told him I needed something quick he made a recommendation, introduced me to their free refreshments, and gave me a seat.

True to his word the fried rice with chicken came out quick. Massive portion and only $12.50. He fetched me some sauce and when I needed a knife (normally one isn't necessary) he went out of his way to track one down.

This man (who's mother is the cook) provided hands-down the most polite service ever!

When I went to pay I only had a note, not the correct change, so he decided to give me a "first time discount".

I love that I've just moved in 3 minutes away from this place and I'm definitely...

We were really excited to come here, having read all the great reviews. Unfortunately we found the menu limited and even worse the food was bland.

We had mie ayam bakso and nasi goreng ayam. In both cases the noodles and rice were very plain, without much added (maybe just a tiny bit of egg stirred thorough the rice and some sauces). They didn't have much flavor. The noodles seemed out of a packet.

The meatball in the bakso was probably the best thing, it was quite large and tasty.

We also got the ox tongue sate, which was alright but the sauce on it was very thick, gluggy and not that great.

Overall disappointing, we'll be going to other Indo...

Came in for lunch and ordered the sliced beef, ayam goreng with fried rice and gado gado (obviously). The sliced beef was great and very tasty (despite the fact that I do generally prefer a more fattier cut of beef (like the one used for iga bakar). The ayam goreng with fried rice was delicious. The chicken was moist and the fried rice was very flavourful. Lastly the gado gado is very tasty, not going to lie, I have had gado gado at many Indo restaurants and the one at Willis canteen is superior. Whether or not a mixed vegetable and tofu salad is worth $20….. that’s debatable, however, I guess in this case it just might be.

A friend recommended the Gado Gado here after we had a terrible one at another Indonesian restaurant. It was perfect! Waited for around half an hour, but it was really worth it. The peanut sauce was not the usual store bought one or the gross one made with peanut butter. The portion was very generous. The vegetables were excellent as well and beautifully served in a leaf shaped big bowl. Payment only by bank transfer or cash. The atmosphere and the service were nothing extraordinary.
