Naughty Krishna Vegetarian Restaurant — Restaurant in Sydney

Hidden in the back street right next to Westfield, I knew this place was going to be special simply by the care the friendly owner took to offer me whatever I wanted. He was even prepared to make me my favourite malai kofta that was not on the menu. I couldn't do that to him, so I tried 3 delicious curries ( goat, chicken, and potato) with rice, rotis, and an amazing lemon pickle instead. 😋 (OMG that pickle!!) I was delighted to find they also sold a smooth salted lassi that I always go for with curry. For dessert, the range of gourmet cakes was irresistible. How the chocolate cake got into my bag, I do not know! Ok, I do, but if you saw them, you'd understand. Just go! Even as a chef of 10 years who worked for Steigenberger in Germany I was well suprised how great the food was.

Also the ambience was really well desinged. You could either sit in groups of two to eight people inside a beautifull restaurant or enjoy the after-work atmosphere outside. The kitchen is, well, not open but has a window installed through that you could watch your food being made.

The cherry on top was the good mood everyone was in. We had a nice chat to one of the chefs, who shared a small fun story about his flatmates and a party they were hosting, and also the the waitress, who we talked to about our trip through New Zealand and what we enjoyed the most during our stop in Hamilton.

Firstly I don’t write reviews… and secondly, I stopped going to Indian Restaurants as the food was not to the standard that I demand… HOWEVER the food here, at NAUGHTY INDIA is absolutely delicious! Every dish we tried was bursting with flavour and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend the Buttery Chicken, best I have had for a very very long time. Spicy Goat – was absolutely bliss. This time I returned for veg. selection… I was not disappointed, hands down, some of the best food I’ve had recently! They use the freshest ingredients and make sure each dish is done the right way.
