I recently visited "My College Canteen" with three of my friends, excited to enjoy a nice meal. Unfortunately, our experience was completely spoiled by the rude behavior of one of the staff members, Bhoomi.
We were taking a few minutes to decide on our order, as anyone normally would, when Bhoomi came over and rudely told us to place our order within 10 minutes or leave the restaurant. The tone and attitude were extremely unprofessional, and it felt as though she had no patience for us, especially as a group of female customers.
What made it worse was the obvious gender bias in her behavior. Bhoomi seemed particularly hostile toward us, while we noticed that she and other girls working there, were more polite to other male customers. It left us feeling unwelcome and uncomfortable, and we couldn't help but wonder if this was a case of gender discrimination. It's disheartening to encounter such treatment in what should have been a pleasant dining experience.
If you're considering dining at this restaurant, I would highly suggest management address the attitude of their staff, especially female staff. Respectful customer service should be a priority, regardless of gender. Such behavior is completely unacceptable and reflects poorly on the establishment.

Read moreI've walked past this place for so long but today I stopped to actually try the food. I love pani puri so when I saw it on the menu I had to try especially that I hadn't eaten all day. It was fresh and just took me back to my holiday in India. The owner was lovely and even offered me to try for no extra cost 2 pieces of dahi puri. Honestly didn't have it before and I really liked it. They were quite busy so it took a bit to get my order but that's ok, I wasn't in a hurry but I imagine if I was in a hurry then I wouldn't have been happy to wait. If I was to pick on anything the mint/chilli chutney water was just a little under seasoned but it wasn't a bad first experience....
Read moreThis was a new experience for myself as it was recommended to me by an Indian friend. The food here was pretty good as it was prepared fresh as we ordered via phone to have it ready for arrival. They were nice enough to move seating for us to sit together. I was a bit iffy with the food handling procedures as I know a lot of Indian foods just use their hands but when packaging foods, I could see bare hands touching the food. A suggestion but possibly having a tap for hand washing or hygiene station close by could be implemented to ensure cleanliness for customers before eating as it is majority finger food. Would come back for the other items as the price is...
