I've been eating food from here for over 15 years. They decided to give up on everything that made them good and gut their menu of all of the pizzas that got them to where they are now.
I followed this company (formerly called manoosh) when they went from being a company that delivered quality pizzas all of the time, to making okay pizzas most of the time. I stuck with them through that, because I liked it, and it still hit the spot that I wanted, when I wanted a trashy but fulfilling pizza. I stuck with them through their decline in quality as they franchised out, and sacrificed standards for scale, because I still enjoyed eating it, even though it was not reliably as good as it used to be.
I stuck with them through them sending out feta on pizza that has been left unrefrigerated in the kitchen since the night before, because you order a pizza at midday and you can taste the weird funky point that day old feta gets to on the bench. Not enough for food poising, but enough to make your pizza thoroughly unenjoyable.
I stuck with them through that because they would still bring me a pizza that I wanted to eat the majority of the time, and the stuff that they made was better and more interesting than the other, more cr*p pizza places around
But then, for absolutely NO GODDAMN REASON WHATSOEVER, they got rid of all the pizzas that I wanted to eat from their menu.
I'm not gonna assume that they improved the quality of their ingredients and delivery while they did that, because let's be real, they have just cut back on the good ingredients and things that made this franchise unique.
It's a shame, and a loss when you think back to the legacy they had from when they had their shop on Enmore Road and would pump out mad pizzas for years, and then when they first opened this store in Marrickville to expand out, through to now when this has just walked straight off a cliff.
Time to start trying new pizzas places in the area....
Read moreI’ve been ordering since the Manoosh days — that’s how long I’ve been a fan. Since 2020, I’ve ordered almost every week and recommended Ooshman to countless friends and colleagues. It used to be my go-to spot — the food was incredible, the vegan options were plentiful, and the service was always spot-on. I was genuinely obsessed.
Unfortunately, over the past year, something has seriously changed. The menu has been overhauled, most of the vegan items I loved have been removed, and the quality of the food has taken a huge dive. What’s worse is that the service has become almost non-existent — nearly every order lately has been wrong or missing something.
The final straw for me was receiving a falafel wrap instead of the plant-based chicken wrap I ordered with absolutely no communication from the store, so unsure if this was a mix up, or trying to serve up anything because your out of stock. I’m actually allergic to falafel, so this wasn’t just a mix-up, it was careless. It’s hard to enjoy your meal when you have to double-check everything and still can’t trust it will be right.
It honestly breaks my heart to say it, but today was my last order. Ooshman was once my favourite takeaway — now, it’s just a disappointment. Its really the end of an era, time to find a...
Read moreAs usual, I ordered directly via the Ooshman app - typically a very reliable experience as the delivery is via direct Ooshman delivery drivers.
Received the confirmation text, indicating a 35min delivery. After clicking the tracking link, I was shocked to see they are now using Uber eats delivery drivers. Very dissapointing, as uber often bundles multiple deliveries at once, which also depends on nearby available delivery drivers - alot more variables than the usual ooshman direct delivery drivers.
To my dismay, the 35mins crept up to an hour. Which means that my pizza was certainly sitting there getting cold waiting for an available uber driver.
Order placed: 7.11pm Uber tracking saying arrival would be 8.07pm. Called Ooshman at 7.51pm to confirm status, I was told it would be another 10mins to be picked up + delivery duration which may or may not have included other drop offs.
To note, my home to Ooshman is 1.9kms = 5mins
I ended up getting in my car and picking it up directly - receiving a "free" garlic bread to offset the service/delivery fees.
Surprise, surprise my pizza was cold and required reheating when I returned home.
This business has gone only down hill since rebranding. You have lost...
