I’m a local and love Twin Thai. I’ve been ordering off and on for around five years, and it is consistently really good quality.
Favourite dishes: My all-time favourite is Crying Tiger (which is a Thai beef salad). It’s medium spiced. The beef is consistently good quality: tender, cooked medium, just perfection. I’ve had crying Tiger from many Thai restaurants, and this one is the best I’ve had. Twin Thai team - whatever you’re doing, keep doing it. This dish is the best. I’ve added the photo (excuse the plastic presentation, I didn’t ‘plate it up’ for the photo!) You can see how great the produce looks. Yum! The sauce is sent separately to avoid soggy salad.
Some of my other favourites include curry puffs - always fresh, tasty and an excellent vegetarian option.
Massaman beef is also delicious—nice big chunks of beef with potato in a lovely curry. Don’t forget to order plain rice to soak up all the delicious sauce!
Thai fried rice is also lovely. I add chicken as an option, but I know prawn is also popular. Sometimes this dish is a tiny bit too oily - if I had one criticism. I usually dab it with a paper towel to absorb any excess oil.
Location: It’s located on Illawarra Road, across the road from Woollies, Renwick Street corner. It’s around a 7-minute walk from Marrickville station (500m south).
Delivery: Twin Thai offer delivery straight from their website. Which is nice to do if you have a cash order. It also keeps the commission with the operator! Otherwise, they are on all the food apps. I typically use UberEats.
This is one of the best Thai places in the Inner West. Thanks, Twin Thai and see you soon...

Let’s begin, We had an incredible lunch at Twin Thai By S&P, and it’s easily one of the best Thai restaurants we’ve tried when you consider the quality of food, service, and price.
Everything was cooked fresh to order, and you could truly taste the difference. We had the chicken cashew with rice, and it was simply outstanding—the chicken was tender, the vegetables were fresh, and the flavors were just perfect. Every bite was so delicious, I was tempted to order another serving lol.
Beyond the food, the service was warm and welcoming. A young girl, who we believe is the owner’s daughter, served us, and she was incredibly sweet and friendly. It’s always refreshing to experience such genuine hospitality. The restaurant itself was very clean and had a great family-friendly atmosphere, making it a perfect spot for everyone.
The best part? The prices were very reasonable for the quality you’re getting. This is definitely a place we’ll be returning to, and next time, we’ll make sure to take some photos! If you’re looking for authentic, fresh, and delicious Thai food with amazing service, Twin Thai By S&P is a must-visit!

Read moreOn a Friday night at 6pm I ordered my family food through uber eats with the intention to try a new place and support local business with an order that ended up being roughly $100 maybe more at 7:30 my food still had not arrived ; i completely understand that it is a Friday night at peek hour but an hour and a half is beyond the joke . I messaged the Uber driver and he said he is still waiting as he had obviously been waiting for a while already ; so I decided to call the restaurant, after not being able to get through for about 10 minutes on my last and final attempt I was met with an extremely rude staff member on the phone , who continued to tell me they haven’t stated our order yet , and had no explanation as to why . When I told her that it had been over an hour and asked if she could start the order she hung up on me ; I don’t know if that sounds rude to anyone else but it does to me I called back and again no answer so I tried with a different phone and they answered to then again hang up . Obviously they have no idea about customer service and phone manor but I have never been so disappointed in a restaurant . I hope after seeing this review they might reconsider how to speak to customers and maybe consider cooking the food that has...
