Paying $15 for fried rice is daylight robbery. I’ve eaten at hundreds of restaurants, and this is the only place that makes you pay right after ordering. The food? Nothing special at all. We said we want a garlic fried rice and in that rice, can’t even taste the garlic but it definitely has an egg. Just call it egg rice :)))))) dirty table and poor customer service. The food is serve but we dont have spoon how can we eat?? The metal where they put the cutlery is empty and staff didnt even bother to check it

Authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Pho Dac Biet (beef soup combination) and Bun Dac Biet (dry thin vermicelli plus proteins) Amazing flavours and freshness of ingredients. So very good! Paid $41.50 for both dishes. Staff are well trained and good knowledge of how to explain the food profile when asked. Popular and busy place ... good value for a nice food selection. Will be back for more again. Thanks and keep it up.

Who said you need to trek to Saigon or Bankstown for a good pho? Pho Gia Hoi on George Street is dishing out chicken pho so good it could make a rooster proud. Even better than my Bubbe’s famous Friday night chicken soup. Sure, it’s a few dollars dearer than the usual suspects, but the bowl is big. Think of it as a “premium economy” pho — same destination, smoother ride. Worth every cent and every slurp.

As a Vietnamese, I evaluate the foods are ok but not the best as other restaurants I’ve been. But in general the taste is fine. I normally don’t leave a review but I will this time. I went there with my family for a meal because I saw many good reviews on Google about this restaurant and mainly reason is it close to the hotel where we were stayed. I came back the second day to get a plain steam rice only for my grand father who is very fussy eater, he only eat rices with slow cooked soft pork meat as his teeth are is weak. Before we travel to Sydney we had to cook the pork from home and brought it with us because we wasn’t sure which restaurant in Sydney selling similar pork as what we cooked, so we decided to cook and take the meat, store it in fridge at the hotel, we then only need to buy steam rices. When I asked the waitress I would like to get a steam rices only and she said “we don’t sell steam rice only”. Alright, I decided I will order a meal in their menu which was a dish of rices with including meat and other topping came with it, then I asked to add extra 2 more plain steam rices containers, the waitress now was saying “it’s ok” but her face wasn’t happy when I came back and order like that after she told me they don’t sell steam rices only. Then she asked me to pay the lady at the counter and wait for the food. I went to the counter to pay and the lady who was there (not sure if she is the owner) kept taking Vietnamese to other staff and took my money without even saying “thank you” to their customer. I went back to my seat to wait and after while, the waitress (same girl at the beginning) came back and gave me a bag of take away meal inside without a word “thank you” when we handled the bag from her and we were left. I were very surprised and I’m not sure if they also showing that unprofessional customer service to the others foreign customers. I wish I could give 5 stars but excuseme it is...

I had a very bad experience at the diner today. I visited the restaurant in the evening. I really like Hue beef noodle soup so I went to the restaurant and ordered this dish. But unfortunately, today's restaurant made my dish very salty and I happily asked the waitress to change the broth for me. She said the broth was old so she could change it for me. I still accepted it without any attitude, but they still brought out a bowl of very salty soup and I told her that it was still the same and nothing had changed. So she told me to change it because there was no more Hue beef noodle soup in the kitchen, so she put chicken broth in for my beef noodle soup. But I said I don't want to eat anymore. I still have no intention of saying anything bad in other people's restaurants because I know they don't want that to happen, but the attitude of the man standing at the checkout and talking to me was unacceptable to me. The attitude of talking to guests is very impolite. His rude attitude and poor quality food and service attitude made me feel very...

Pho was nice, however not super hot. Didn't have to wait for it to cool down/blow to start eating which can be a plus if you're in a hurry however it meant that it was barely warm by time I got to the end of my bowl. I suspect the reason here is to turn tables.

Also for $21, I felt the portion size a little small.

The service is not very welcoming but you kind of get that at Asian restaurants with good food. What was a bit jarring though, was within 30 seconds of sitting down, having barely put my things down and looked at the menu, I had been approached twice to order and pay. I guess knowing what you want to order before stepping foot inside seems to be the custom.

I have had much worse pho in the city so this place is good for a QUICK meal. If you'd like a more leisurely experience, this restaurant is not the one for you.

Also be aware of the $20/pp...
