First review - I love the Durian smoothie here at this restaurant, it’s super yummy!! So creamy and heavenly 😍🥰 Yes it smells but when you taste it! You will whisper to yourself OMG!! Try it and see! 😉 The Special Pho is also delicious, the broth was very flavoursome! Very authentic 🍜 It’s in the central side of George Street! Check this place out if u feel like delicious authentic Vietnamese food! It’s the best! The Hainanese chicken wasn’t my favourite, but the chicken was soft and tender, but the rice was quite dry. New update : from 5 star to 3 stars!!!! MUST READ! Today I went to have the pho, the large bowl has fewer noodles and less soup ingredients but (just more broth) but the noodles and ingredients is the same as the small bowl! No difference in terms of food quantity! My friend ordered pork leg, egg noodle soup with wonton, and he did not like it!!!! (He said the meat tasted really dry) and the soup wasn’t so tasty! He only ate the noodles!! And left the meat on the side!!! Oh, and today I saw a baby cockroach, how cute!!! Not!! 😜😜😜😜 It was hella gross!! Hmmmm not sure if I should come back here again!!! My friend also provided feedback about the dry pork in his noodle soup!! She looked like she had no empathy! And walked off!! With no apologies or anything! I went to pay my bill, and said thank you. That same lady just looked at me coldly!! And I wasn't the one that complained!! Wow, maybe she should build a bridge and get over it!! If she can’t handle feedback then she shouldn’t be working in that type of industry!

Forget Pho AN in Bankstown, the pho here at Pho Pasteur (city) is as far as I'm concerned the best in Sydney, and possibly the best in Australia, and I've eaten pho all over the country. Pasteur's sister restaurant in Bankstown was closed a while ago - and that was hands down the best pho anywhere , but this pho at the city location now takes the #1position. There are 3 things I really like here: 1) The pho, and food in general is delicious. The pho comes in 2 sizes, small and large, and the servings are very generous. We also had the Salt n Spicy Squid, and the fried wontons. The restaurant is clean, well presented, and in a very handy location down near central station / chinatown in George St. There is a huge range of options on the menu, and there's something sure to please everyone. 2) The service. Friendly service here, the staff and the owner treat customers very well. It's something that I really value in a restaurant. I have been here a few times now, and I always find the service very good. 3) Finally, the restaurant accepts EFTPOS and credit cards. That means they are honest, and contribute to society. I highly value this. The fact that you take electronic payment (unlike most VN restaurants) gives you extra points in my opinion because in addition, makes it very convenient and handy to eat here even if you haven't got cash. In summary, if you want to have a great VN meal, come down and give it a try. I'm sure you won't be disappointed!

This is conveniently located in Sydney's CBD close to Paddy's Market and has a great selection of tasty items to choose from. We have been coming back to this Vietnamese restaurant for a very long time as the quality, taste and value you receive is phenomenal. Like many others we have our favourite tasting dishes and today we ordered these. My favorite is menu item #76 Seafood Springroll with vermicelli (BUN CHA GIO), with some adjustments. I change the seafood springroll to the Northern Springroll and without mint. A dipping sauce is provided and is perfectly paired for the dish and is a mixed fish sauce with garlic, chilli and believe lime or lemon. Highly recommended when you visit. There is a small fee to modify the dish to nothern style springrolls and is worth the extra couple of dollars. My partners favorite dish is menu item #19 Rare or Medium Beef Rice Noodle Soup (PHO BO TAI). We also asked for no sides or green vegetables or condiments as the flavour of the broth is exceptional. As you can see the restaurant is understanding of each person's different taste requirements and are willing to modify to your liking. There can be a small fee depending on the type of change which is to be expected. The restaurant is clean with ample comfortable seating, providing generous serving sizes of great tasting food at exceptional value for money. Drop in and give it a go.

I would like to express my disappointment regarding the treatment I received at your restaurant today. As a solo diner, I entered the establishment during lunchtime, but the server did not inquire about my preferences and forcibly seated me facing another lady at a small table meant for two people. I politely mentioned that I am not accustomed to sharing a table with strangers and gestured towards a smaller table near the entrance, asking if it was possible to sit there instead. However, my request was met with refusal.

I explicitly stated my discomfort with sitting face-to-face with an unfamiliar person at a cramped table. The server's attitude immediately turned sour, and they glanced at me disdainfully with impatience. To add to my dismay, and then l heard they rudely said, "If you don't want to share a table, you can go outside." Subsequently, the server escorted a solo Caucasian gentleman to the table I initially inquired about but was denied access to.l watched he enjoy his food by himself at that small table.

I can't help but wonder why such discrimination occurred. Why is it that an Asian woman like myself is not allowed to sit alone while a Caucasian person is granted permission? Moreover, I was subjected to unwarranted mistreatment, with the server displaying an extremely hostile attitude. As a server, it is their duty to respect the wishes of customers and not force strangers to share a small table without consent. This behavior lacks the basic respect that should be afforded to every individual.

I kindly request an apology and urge you to uphold the fundamental principles of respect and courteous language...

This review is SPECIFICALLY for the young male worker with glasses and hair tied back who provided insulting 'service'. Hope he sees this :)

The rice paper roll I ordered came with presumably undercooked/raw chicken (it had streaks of red and pink); but that wasn't the issue. We notified a young lady who took the dish back and informed us she'd get back to us on it. The young male worker with tied-back hair then returned with new rice paper rolls, but when my partner merely asked for confirmation on if the chicken in the last rice paper roll was raw, he unexpectedly gave us an absurdly rude response and attitude — "Why are you asking me? How would I know? I'm not the chef". When I called him out for it and informed him he could just check with the kitchen staff, his demeanor changed to "I replaced it for you so what do you think. You can use your eyes and check for yourself, it's not pink anymore. I brought back new ones for you so what's the problem?". Our intentions were not to fish for a discount or on-the-house service from him at all; in fact, I told him a simple 'YES' or 'NO' to the question and an apology would be sufficient. Yet he continued to be very unprofessional, rude, and defensive towards us. We were only met with a very quiet, lousy and insincere apology from him after requesting for one, essentially.

Though the food and restaurant itself is satisfactory; if you don't want to be treated disrespectfully with an insulting attitude and very lousy customer service from this male worker in particular, there are much better places to spend money and enjoy Pho...
