Roy's Cafe, a charming corner spot, offered a delightful start to my morning. The eggs Benedict, a classic breakfast staple, was executed with finesse. The perfectly poached eggs, with their gloriously runny yolks, sat atop a toasted English muffin. The hollandaise sauce, rich and lemony, added a delightful tang that cut through the richness of the dish. The accompanying hot chocolate was equally satisfying. A steaming mug of velvety smooth cocoa, not overly sweet, provided a comforting warmth against the morning chill. The cafe's ambiance, with its decor and relaxed atmosphere, created an inviting space. The staff were friendly and attentive, adding to the overall pleasant experience. While the menu offered a variety of breakfast and brunch options, the eggs Benedict and hot chocolate were the perfect combination for a leisurely morning treat. Roy's Cafe delivers a consistently good experience, making it a worthy destination for a relaxed and enjoyable breakfast. Yet another Outstanding Experience in Surrey Hills of Sydney city.

I was was served quickly and efficiently here, the friendly staff member took my order of a vegetarian sandwich, a small flat-white coffee, and a passionfruit tart. Around $23. I found a table in the outdoor seating area, and while waiting for my meal I took a few moments to admire the view of the Central Station clock tower. Moments later, the meal arrived. The coffee was well made and tasted great, the sandwich had been well toasted, the fillings were fresh and tasty, notably the halloumi and Pesto. The passionfruit tart was good, nice flavour and texture, and not excessively sweet.

Average coffee, horrible experience. While I was ordering, the cashier basically turned his head to look at people sitting around the till and stared at them the whole time I was ordering. Not surprisingly, got our order wrong. I corrected him that we wanted a short black and not a long - we still got the long black. Double cupped (no cup sleeves? Also, waste of money and bad for the environment.) Still spilt everywhere. Overall, very boring experience from a location you'd expect more from!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Hidden Gem That Will Brighten Your Day!

If you’re looking for the perfect cafe to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life, look no further than this absolute treasure of a place! From the moment you step through the door, you're greeted with the most welcoming atmosphere – cozy, vibrant, and full of positive energy. It’s like the cafe itself is giving you a warm hug!

Let’s talk about the coffee – WOW. It’s truly next-level. Whether you’re a die-hard espresso lover or someone who enjoys a creamy latte, every sip feels like a little burst of happiness. The baristas are absolute wizards, crafting each cup with love and precision. You can really taste the difference – it’s not just coffee, it’s an experience!

But it doesn’t stop there – the food is equally stellar. Every dish is made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and you can tell the team puts their heart into each creation. The pastries are to die for – flaky, buttery, and baked to perfection. The avocado toast? Don’t even get me started! It’s the kind of dish that makes you pause and savor every bite.

And the vibe? It’s just perfect. Whether you’re there to get some work done, catch up with a friend, or simply unwind with a good book, this cafe has it all. The decor is so charming, and the playlist they have playing in the background is just chef's kiss. It’s the kind of place where you feel right at home.

If you're looking for a cafe that combines incredible food, amazing drinks, and a cozy, inviting atmosphere, this is THE place to be. I honestly can’t recommend it enough – every visit feels like a treat, and I already can’t wait for my next one....

Roy's Cafe near Central in Sydney is a cafe I visit every time I am catching a coach from Central, usually to my parent's place down the South Coast. I have generally found that the cafes close to Central are mostly all incredibly average or worse but this has been my preferred place for a couple of years now. It is attached to the WAKE ME UP Backpackers and they conveniently (for me) share toilets. I always eat something light then go to the toilet before boarding the coach which takes off literally across the road. A definite venue of convenience. I even took my mum there once before putting her on a coach, and she found it perfectly acceptable. The coffee is decent, the staff are passable although I am certain they are all backpackers with limited to no care about there job and the venue is fine. It is mostly an outdoor covered area on the corner of George and Pitt at the Central convergence. Mum loved her standard scrambled eggs on toast. I have eaten bacon and eggs and loved it and also had their bacon and egg brekky roll. All of it is standard and there is nothing fancy or adventurous in their menu but it serves its purpose and it tastes AOK. I will continue to eat here as a venue of...
