Last Friday I met a friend at Ryan's at about 3pm. She happened to have her toddler daughter In a pram with her. We were sitting far from the bar and at the next table was a couple with a baby. Everything was fine until after 5 o'clock when the place started to fill up. A young manager TOLD US TO LEAVE BECAUSE CHILDREN WERE NOT ALLOWED. So why was it ok from 3pm to 5pm - but not after 5pm. There is no law that allows kids before 5pm and another that bans them after 5pm. The reality is, babies and small children are allowed in pubs and clubs as long as they are in the control of an adult. My friend's daughter was in her control, well-behaved and in a pram. Yet we were told to leave on the spot - WE WERE NOT EVEN ALLOWED TO FINISH OUR DRINKS AND WE HAD DONE NOTHING WRONG!! We planned to leave anyway after finishing our drinks.and there was no need to throw us out. If the child"'s presence was making the management nervous - none of the other patrons seemed to mind, in fact one couple thought it was quite unreasonable - all they needed to do was to explain, ask us politely to keep my friend's toddler under control In the pram or on her lap and let us least finish...
Read morePoor vegan options
Went out for lunch with my colleagues today, the menu had VG at the top but I couldn't find any options throughout the menu. I went to the bar to ask what the vegan dishes or options were or if they had vegan cheese for the pizza. She told me the vegan options were the chips, wedges without sour cream or a patty with salad. I asked if I could have a mushroom pizza without cheese and if they could just drizzle a bit of truffle oil on instead. Another gent tried to help her put it through the register and said it would be an extra couple dollars. I mentioned to him that chips and wedges without sour cream are not quite lunch vegan options and that I'm trying to make an option but it would be great if they could assist. He spoke to the chef and came back and said sorry but you have to pay extra. For me it wasn't about the extra few bucks but thought it was a bit silly that they couldn't help with an alternative. Long story short, they should really remove that VG at the top of their menu, it's a...
Read moreI visited this venue after work, coming in completely sober, just to meet up with colleagues. Initially, the manager mentioned that I’d need to order a drink after 10 minutes. I did as instructed, but shortly after, a security guard came to my table and took my drink, claiming I wasn’t allowed to have it.
Security guy was lying cause when I asked the reason he couldn’t provide me right reason so he’s telling me he has told me not having a drink. The thing is I never talk or seen that guy. (Please check CCTV if he make any conversation with me before or if I was inappropriate behaviour)
It felt like an unfair assumption and left a negative vibe
Seems manager not happy...
