San Antonio Sourdough Bakery — Restaurant in Sydney

It is my great pleasure to write this testimonial about the exceptional customers skills and manners of staff member Sahil and the quality of St Antonio Bakery products. This is why for the last 2 years I regularly travel from Rushcutters Bay to enjoy exquisite coffee made by Sahil and to buy 6-7 loafs of bread and a number of raisin snails. The bread I slice, put into the freezer and consume within 4-5 weeks.

This is THE BEST sourdough bread I have ever eaten in Sydney.

My first coffee at St Antonio was made by Sahil and because it was so delicious I ordered another one. I complimented Sahil on the high quality coffee he made, his very friendly attitude and on the breads available at the bakery.

The bakery goods are very average. Not too far away is a better bakery called Loulou's which a lot of former San Antonio patrons have now shifted to.

If you walk past San Antonio (minding your own business), the owner will abuse you. Somehow he has been spying on everyone and knows who goes to Loulou's, even if you walk past with nothing from Loulou's in your hand.

You would think it would be logical for the owner to do some work, including on his product and atmosphere, to try and stem the tide of customers defecting. Instead he sits outside his cafe and abuses people.

With high quality pastries and cakes, the San Antonio Sourdough Bakery in downtown Kirribilli is a wonderful places to grab a light snack. With friendly staff and a delectable selection of both sweet treats and savoury snacks, every time I am in the area I can not resist to drop in for a coffee and pastry. And don't get me started on their delicious array of freshly baked breads. With wholegrain, rye and many other types, you can guarantee you will receive it with a crispy outer and a warm and flavourful inner.
