Wow, what a morning it has been at Kirribilli Village! The cafe itself is a bit unassuming, but it only adds to the “diamond in the rough” aesthetic that’s going on. The place is well staffed with genuinely friendly people, so when you step in, the atmosphere is warm and amicable, you feel as if you’re being welcomed home.
The staff are extremely attentive and look like they enjoy working there, which is always a terrific sign. Despite how busy the cafe was, table service was immediate. The waitress had a sharp eye and was quick to change our water bottle before it was empty.
Onto the food and drink, a big complement to the chef(s) working there as the bacon was crispy, but not deathly dry. The sourdough toast was toasted excellently, it really stood out from the bland and rock hard sourdough you get around most cafes. Now the thing I was most impressed by was how beautifully the eggs were poached. I definitely rate these to be the best poached eggs in North Sydney.
The barista conducted himself in a friendly yet professional manner. He keeps the coffee grinder well adjusted and the espresso I got had the white spot markings indicating a beautiful shot.
Closing statement, so far this has been the best cafe in all of North Sydney which I have visited. A well...
Read moreWorst customer service ever!!!! We ordered the mussels in napoletana sauce. We got very old and disgusting mussels instead. We were very dissapointed as we gave our opinion to the owner and the asian women but they both were very rude telling us that we were completely wrong. As customer we have the rights to give feedback and complain if the product is not good or of it is in bad conditions. We didnt finish with the dish, it was horrible. We end up by eating quiet few trying to see if they were right. But they werent!!! It was so terribile experience. Even worst when the Middle Age waiter which wasn't even the owner start screaming to us telling that we were wrong and giving us the bill when we even didnt asked for it. I dont understand how come they got so altered when we Just gave our review....we end up paying for that dish which is fair enough ad we ate few of the mussels and we had all' the Intentions to do it.
That "Waiter with the glasses" is definetely the most rude person and HE is NOT EVEN THE OWNER Never come back to this Place...

I’ve being living in the area for quite some time and I have always struggled to get a delicious meal & wine around Kirribilli especially something value for money. Up until recently the only option has been to catch the ferry into the CBD.
The other day I meet the new owner of Kirribilli Village Cafe who took over about 5mths ago. You can tell he is an Industry professional, service is friendly, smart and on point. Its definitely not his first rodeo.
The breakfast menu along with the lunch/dinner menu have been completely overhauled for the better! The food is delicious and addictive. You can tell that they use fresh ingredients including fresh pasta! My fav is the wagyu beef cheek ragu. To. Die. For!
Normally I don’t like wine at cafes and wine in restaurant’s can be expensive. This is the perfect balance. They serve wines that punch well above their weight for great value for money. Sometimes I go here just for a glass of wine on a sunny afternoon - just don’t...
