I had such a great experience at Silk Café that I ended up coming back the very next day. The staff is genuinely warm and attentive, which makes you feel right welcome from the moment you walk in, even though it was a busy day. The food is not only delicious but also beautifully presented, it looks exactly like the pictures on the menu, which is rare. Everything came out quickly, and the overall aesthetic of the place, with its clean design and lovely artwork on the walls, makes it a really enjoyable spot to relax. With such a wide selection of dishes, choosing what to order wasn’t easy (in a good way), but everything I tried so far has been spot on. The first time I had the Silk salad with chicken, prawns and salmon, which was so beautifully presented, like in the menu Photo. Everything was fresh, vibrant, and full of flavor. The textures were well balanced, and the portion was generous.

I ordered the avocado bruschetta with added ham at the Silk Cafe and restaurant. The portions were impressive, and despite extra jam being an additional 5 dollars, it was several extra thick slices. The flavour was amazing- the acidity from the fresh baby tomatoes, lemon juice, and balsamic drizzle paired so well with the creamy poached eggs and smooth avocado spread. The sourdough bread was pleasant to eat as well. I also ordered the rose lychee soda. This was also lovely- not too sweet The atmosphere was lovely also- lots of beautiful art on the walls available for purchase, and it wasn’t too chilly inside despite it being quite a cold morning. I brought my sketchbook to finish up some drawings I sketched on the train earlier, and a kind member of staff went out of her way to compliment my work. A lovely cafe, will definitely be returning soon.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Must-Try Pasta Gem in Sydney Stumbled upon this cozy Italian spot and ordered their **Truffle Mushroom Fettuccine**—absolutely divine! The pasta was perfectly al dente, and the creamy sauce had just the right balance of earthy truffle and garlic. Generous portion too! The **garlic bread** on the side was crispy and buttery, and the staff recommended a local Shiraz that paired beautifully. Finished with a classic **tiramisu**—light, fluffy, and with a strong espresso kick. Service was warm and attentive (shoutout to Luca for the great wine tip!). Prices are reasonable for the quality (~AUD 25-35 for mains). Only note: it gets busy during dinner, so book ahead on weekends. Already planning my next visit to try the seafood linguine! Faves: Truffle Mushroom Pasta, Garlic Bread, Tiramisu Vibe: Intimate, rustic, perfect for date night.

I used to go a lot to this restaurant because is close to my workplace but I will have to find a place with a better customer service to eat. One day I had too wait forever at lunch time of a pasta bolognese, other day the waiting time was also too long and I ordered a rice with shrimps. I understand that when the restaurant is full I might have to wait longer for my food but in those situations the number of customers wasn’t even high. Other day I walked out at lunch time as well because they took too long to take my order and today was the same. I went tonight to have dinner, I had an appointment later and I was sitting there for long time but no one came to take my order. Three people were working there at the moment and when I looked around few times they were just standing, not even busy taking other orders or serving tables. If the restaurant is full of people and the staff is really busy I can understand but seriously such a long time to take my order and they weren’t even moving. Again, I had to walk out, before I left I told to one of them that the waiting time just to take my order was too long. Such a waste of time because I had to find a different restaurant and all of that time sitting there just for nothing. Too many experiences like that at this point. I know they don’t care about losing one customer but I won’t be a regular anymore. If you go for a one off it might seem like a good experience, but because I used to go often for lunch and dinner, sometimes even breakfast, I realised about how bad is this issue with...

I’m gonna start this with a positive, the spaghetti I had at this place was phenomenal, it was everything I usually look for in a spaghetti bolognese and it was yum. Was it worth the hour wait? No. Once we’d been sat in the corner booth they have, my partner and I looked at the menu for 5 minutes, decided what we wanted, and then waited another 20 before someone walked over and finally took our order (after watching them take the other of several tables around us that were sat after the two of us). The table who was sat beside us had sat down after us, had their order taken and food delivered before we were even acknowledged. The frozen mocha that I ordered didn’t come out frozen, my partners caramel milkshake was good however. Once our order had been taken we then had to wait another 35 minutes before our food was delivered to us. My partner and I both work in the hospitality industry and being in the restaurant for an hour before getting any kind of food is kind of ridiculous, if I’m being honest. Especially if my partner can then say that the chicken schnitzel tastes like a fish and chip shop made it.

We’re honestly not too sure what happened, when we walked in they were considerably busy, but by the time our order had gone through there were several empty tables around us. It felt like we had gotten forgotten, servers were wandering around on phone calls and messaging on phones which was disappointing as well. Obviously I can cut the slack to the kitchen for the wait on food, but the quality of the rest of our...

Amazing Dining Experience at Silks Cafe & Restaurant

We had the pleasure of dining at Silks Cafe & Restaurant twice during our recent trip to Sydney, and both experiences were unforgettable!

On our first night, we enjoyed the best Chinese food we have ever had. Every dish was cooked to perfection, bursting with incredible flavors that left us wanting more. A special shout-out to Emily, our waitress, who was exceptionally lovely and friendly, making our evening even more enjoyable.

On our last night in Sydney, we searched for an Italian restaurant and were surprised to see Silks Cafe & Restaurant come up again. Thinking it might be a different location, we arrived to find it was the same place. Although they only serve Italian cuisine in the mornings, the young man who greeted us assured us there was "No problem" and even offered to specially cook our Italian meals for us himself. In less than 15 minutes, we were served a delicious meal, including probably the best bacon carbonara I've ever had. Emily greeted us again with her warm and welcoming demeanor, making us feel like old friends. Her kindness and personal touch truly made our last night in Sydney special. She even gave us a hug as we left, which was a perfect ending to our trip.

Silks Cafe & Restaurant will forever be a memorable part of our Sydney adventure. Highly recommended! If you've never been there do yourself a favour & go! But make sure you visit it twice so you can get to experience both their Chinese &...
