great place for sushi train if youre in the inner west. probably one of the better ones to be real with you. we got heads of the aburi ones and they were delicious and are made fresh when ordered. there is also a decent selection so youre always bound to get something that you like or find good. the service is okay at best. there is a self service section if you want to grab some for takeaway and they have drinks. around lunch time, it can get quite busy so do expect a bit of a wait there

It's ok. Priced on higher end for sushi train. Lots of choices. Excessive use of Mayo that is not Kewpie. Kewpie should always be used for karage. Makes it taste unauthentic when some wierd mustardy Mayo is used. Deep fried dishes should be served fresh rather than all cold and dry. Especially when charged at over 10 dollars a plate. Oyster dish was interesting. Favourite sushi was the vegetarian one.

While this sushi train looks bright and clean, the range of fish on offer is somewhat limited. The highlight for me was the generously cut salmon sashimi that was nice and fatty. The lowlight for me was the karaage chicken off the train that was ice cold. Note: This sushi train is using the old "plate colour" pricing system.

Generally we enjoy going to this place. Unfortunately, staff are changed frequently and service is inconsistent. We were sat in a tiny space last night next to a table with quite noisy kids, next to a table with more kids. We made space for food, ordered as an extra and the waitress just dumped everything at the place setting next to us - even when we pointed and asked that it be placed in front of us. She totally ignored us as she spoke to the other waitress beside her...deal with staff away from the customer. So, we had to reach out and get the dishes ourselves. Never enough table water served here. When customer orders a dish especially - like the expensive scallop dish - please make it fresh instead of grabbing a cold one from the 'train' - it is a huge let down to eat cold aburi and be charged $8 for it...it's like paying full freight for stale bread. Please do something about the flies getting through the holes in your lids and all over the sushi. Also, please deal with the increasing number of vinegar flies buzzing through the restaurant and around the food and drinks. I don't like pulling them...

We visited Sushi Maru last night. We were seated and offered drinks. We were then immediately glad to place our last order as they were closing. We were sitting by 8:10...the place didn't close until 9:00. So disappointing to see that places are hell bent on being ready to walk out the door at 9pm instead of serving customers until closing time. We'd ordered one item and that came out undercooked as they were clearly rushing to get rid of us. We won't be back...we wouldn't want to get in the way...
