Wharf Cafe @Pyrmont — Restaurant in Sydney

I go here often for my daily morning coffee, which is consistently good. It's a family business with the owners alongside their staff, always there to provide a friendly, personable service. They know and greet every single one of their regular customers by name.

This is no fancy restaurant, but it's an affordable and easy place place to have breakfast or lunch, with outside seating on the wharf overlooking the water. If you're not in a rush, grab a table and enjoy the view.

We went for breakfast after new years eve. It was not very busy but we had to wait 1,5h for our coffees. After 2h of waiting I asked, when our breakfast will come, because its been 2h of waiting. Then the waitress/owner snapped at me and said I should be thankful, because they are the only open restaurant (in fact they were not the only open Café). Never had such a bad experience in a Café in my life, the treatment of us was very rude.

Furthermore the eggs benedicts of my friend (which came after 2,5h) was overcooked and the pancakes we ordered had a rubber-like...

Donna & her husband runs this fabulous little cafe , always a big smile and greeting from Donna the owner, and amazingly Donna remembers every patrons' name and what beverage they usually have.
