My Greek Taxi driver got me all excited about Greek Cuisine and suggested I visit here. As you know , we’re about family , fresh and made in store. Greeted by the quintessential Greek restauranter and directed inside by family. Stunning location ! Views ! I felt I was back in Santorini - it was magic indeed. Busy hum of locals was always a good sign. I ordered the dip Made or roe - I hate this dip however I was feeling adventurous and was Rewarded with a perfect dip served with fresh pita. It was perfect - balance of flavours and texture was perfect ! Followed by buttery halloumi with fig and sweet vinergarettr reduction oof was awesome. Feeling adventurous the Sardine plump , creamy ! Flavoursome and deliscious. Finally the grilled octopus charred and marinated was classic Greek . Being the cheapskate I am I was happy to pay for a wonderfully crafted dinner.highly affordable top shelf cuisine. I have the could I cook this at home test and the flavours and techniques used were why one Goes out for dinner - highly recommend

A different class of Greek restaurant. I went here for my birthday with last Saturday (5th October) with my partner after her daughter had recommended it. We wasn’t disappointed. The food was amazingly authentic. We had a table right on the wharf and it was a beautifully hot afternoon. We were greeted by the owners, father and daughter Dimitri and Constantina. They were friendly, quirky and made has feel at home a totally relaxed. Dimitri brought us out little tasters from the chef and left us to settle over a lovely bottle of Italian Prosecco that we ordered. We were never rushed and the food we ordered was different class. If you like authentic amazing Greek food, great wine, excellent service and sitting by Jones Bay Wharf, Pyrmont on a sunny afternoon then you’ve found your spot. A nice touch by Dimitri was the excellent on the house Ouzo that he gave us for my birthday. Thanks Dimitri and Constantina for making my special day that much more special . We will be back x

We recently dined at what can only be described as a culinary disaster. My husband and I were excited about our evening out, but unfortunately, it quickly turned into a nightmare. First off, the set menu had us looking forward to a seafood platter, but what we received instead was a sad excuse for a meal. Our main course was a pasta dish that was drenched in water and topped with what tasted like tinned seafood. It was inedible, and we left the restaurant feeling hungry and disappointed. This place is nowhere near a genuine Greek experience, which we had hoped for. To add insult to injury, the service was painfully slow. We felt ignored and forgotten, waiting far too long for our meals to arrive. We decided to leave before dessert was even served and both agreed that this was, without a doubt, the WORST dinner experience we've ever had. Save your time and money—look elsewhere for a meal that won't leave you regretting your choice!

If I could give zero stars I would!!!!! Absolutely hands down the worst restaurant experience I've had in Sydney.

I never leave negative reviews, but our experience at Mediterranean Magic was completely unacceptable. We booked a party of 30 people to celebrate my MILs 60th birthday .... Absolutely ruined evening thanks to this restaurant.

First, the service was beyond poor. It started when I said to the owner - can we please get two highchairs for my daughter and son (these were already booked in and discussed prior to the sitting and were not set up on the tables when we arrived). My question was met with a rude response saying to sit-down first and then he will decide where the chairs go.....umm ok. Secondly, drinks were non-existent. Despite asking multiple times, they never arrived so we sat for the first HOUR drinking water ... and there was no explanation or apology. Instead the owner came to defend why the drinks are not coming... He did it in such an argumentative tone that we knew the night was going south from there - he said "do you want me to explain that to you again?" ... excuse me but us arriving and sitting down 15mins later than the booking time isn't a reason to "push us back in the queue" and not serve us ANYTHING for an entire hour. Two people from our party ended up going to the bar to serve themselves and thats how we eventually got some drinks on the table, 1.5hrs at this point.

When the food finally did come, the portions were minimal and sub par... The lamb for main was not fresh and tasted like it was reheated. To top it off for dessert it was none other than watermelon! Just cut.up.watermelon in a plate. If you're going to pretend that's a dessert at least name it properly on the set menu... delay and lack of care completely overshadowed the occasion and left us so disappointed and embarrassed for all the guests we invited.

This restaurant failed in every way. What was supposed to be a memorable 60th birthday celebration turned into a stressful and disappointing night. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for good service or a special dining...

DO NOT BOTHER COMING TO THIS GREEK CUSINE. THIS IS THE WORST IN SYDNEY FOR THE PRICE YOU PAY!!!

I booked my anniversary dinner 2 months in advance! I was after the OUTDOOR sitting area. I was then advised by the owner in email that I would have to which I then re-emailed to confirm on the booking (closer to the date of arriving) to ensure for the FULL outdoor sitting (with full view).

I arrived on a Saturday night for my reservation (not overly busy). I was informed by the owner that there was an issue with the seating arrangements however there was plenty of seats available for 2 people. We were then seated on table 6 (this was a horrible view basically a pole as a view unlike the harbour. When the waiter came to our table. I mentioned if we were able to sit in the outdoor area where we originally wanted to sit and was rudely refused and dismissed my request even though I had booked 2 months in advanced to which I mentioned to her. (You call that customer service?)

I was highly disappointed in their service, the food wasn't what I expected as I ordered the souvlaki meal which was supposed to have feta however did not (more like a garden salad?), the meat was burnt too. I highly recommend people to reconsider before booking this place especially if you are wanting to make a reservation!

I WILL NOT BE BACK WHAT A DISGRACE CUSTOMER SERVICE... If I could rate this lower I would. Perhaps investing time into organisational management skills and better customer service then walking around bothering customers aka...

I wish I could leave minus stars. Our experience at this place is so hard to truly articulate with words it was so horrific on so many levels. There is absolutely no way the 5 star reviews it has are real/authentic. Do yourself a favour and avoid this scam of a “restaurant”.

The food was below average, and it was the smallest serving size I’ve seen as part of the set menu ..we all left hungry. But worst of all was the rude, aggressive, arrogant and completely disinterested owner who floated around like everything was under control when it was a shamble. The bar and wait staff couldn’t keep up. A bottle of ouzo with ice took over an hour to come to us (after multiple reminders) but better than the bottles of wine that never came at all. My father-in-law waited 1.5hours for a bottle of beer. For a 7.30pm sitting, we ate at 10.30pm - you’d think they were preparing a feast!!

It was such a shame we couldn’t celebrate our milestone like we hoped due to the complete incompetence. I’ve never had such a horrible experience in Sydney in my life. I beg you, don’t go - you deserve better. And your life having never known Dimitri (or James) the owner is...
