*update* following my review I was contacted by the bakery who apolosied for the issues - the delivery company is seperate to them and they agreed that the cake arrived damaged. They have offered a refund and I was pleased with how they dealt with this. I think still be careful with delivery as it can come any time during the day and so you have to be at home all day. I have kept the old review below for context. ** Beware using home delivery. Had a cake delivered on a Saturday for a birthday - notified about delivery the night before and told cake coming in the evening. Too late to call them at that time. They don't answer their phone on the weekend. Left a voice mail asking for them to call back. Nobody ever called back. Sent emails x 3 asking for delivery to be before 1pm as going out that afternoon - got a generic email response saying they don't control deliveries and take no responsibility. They didn't reply to my follow up emails where I had suggested some other options. Very disappointing customer service. They don't seem to care. As you will see the cake arrived in poor condition too. Pity they have a monopoly on the gluten free market in Sydney

I purchased a seeded gluten free loaf from Harris Farm costing $10.99. When I cut it the ends were cooked however an inch in and then all along the base was raw dough at the base of the loaf rendering it inedible. I can’t put photos here but can send some though. Bit of a waste … not one proper slice :(. When I emailed the company I simply got excuses and telling me how to fix their raw loaf as follows: We would appreciate photos if you can provide them, so that we can pass this feedback onto our team. Regarding the loaf itself, this can unfortunately rarely occur due to the nature of gluten-free sourdough as a very moist dough, on rare occasions it will retain moisture through baking if it has been compressed too much or scored incorrectly. Sometimes toasting the slices for a few minutes can remove the last of this moisture, but if you don't feel the loaf is up to standard, we would encourage you to return to Harris Farm for refund, as they will provide one even though the product has been open and cut. Of course I threw the loaf out as extremely disappointed and peeved off.

Oh, prithee, lend thine ear and hearken well, For I shall sing of savoury delight— A pie, most fair, whose tale I needs must tell, From Wholegreen's hearth, where craft meets nature’s right. Behold! A crust, glutenless, light yet bold, Doth crackle sweet 'neath touch of eager knife. No wheaten chain its noble form doth hold, Yet holds within a storm of meaty life. For lo! The beef, grass-fed on pastures pure, Each bite a song of earth and sun and rain— Rich juices spill, both hearty and demure, That warm the soul and chase away all pain. In Alexandria’s humble nook it lies, This pie, a banquet fit for mortal kings— So take and eat, and with uplifted sighs, Give thanks for joy that such a small thing brings. Wouldst thou have me pen a sonnet of it too?
