Terrible Experience at Bean N Brunch Visited this cafe on 12th January 2025 around 2:30 PM and had a thoroughly disappointing experience. Firstly, the food was of poor quality and lacked any flavor. The fries were stale and soggy, but the real shock came when I discovered a bug in my food (photos attached). When I raised my concerns with the manager, I was offered a refund or a replacement meal—but only on the condition that I don’t leave a bad review. This type of bribery is completely unacceptable in the food industry! To make matters worse, the manager casually excused the bug issue by claiming they “have to keep windows open because of the heat,” which allows bugs to enter. This is a shocking and irresponsible attitude for a food establishment. Hygiene and food safety standards were clearly not met. I would not recommend this place to anyone and hope that health authorities take note of such practices. Avoid at all costs.

Had breakfast here on 2 occasions during my stay with my wife. The 1st visit I decide to get the big breakfast and my wife had avo on toast and WOW it was amazing, could not fault it paired it with a coco smoothie it was super delicious and refreshing, The coffee was also the best i had while at Mt Tamborine. I was that impressed with the service and food I told the rest of my family staying up there as well, as they weren't too impressed with the food at the motel. 2nd visit my wife and myself went back this time i had pancakes and my wife went with the avo toast again. As we were finishing our meals we seen that the rest of our family coming towards the venue. I was super impressed with the service the staff gave when with no warning that 20 people just rocked up. If i could give this place more than 5 stars for service i would because they deserve it. I would highly recommend this place

The Best Coffee and Brunch Spot on the Mountain – Hands Down! As a local, I’ve tried just about every cafĂ© on the mountain, and nothing compares to Bean and Brunch. It’s my daily go-to – in fact, I’m there twice a day! The coffee, made with love by Pam, is consistently the best I’ve had anywhere – rich, smooth, and always spot-on. And don’t even get me started on the food. AJ works absolute magic in the kitchen. Every meal is fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented – whether it’s a quick bite or a full brunch, I always leave satisfied. The warm, welcoming vibe makes it feel like a second home. If you’re passing through or lucky enough to live nearby, do yourself a favour and make this your next stop. You won’t regret it!

Been a return customer a few times to this cafe for their pancakes and chicken parmigiana. The past few times, the wait times have been outrageous despite it not being very busy. This is due to the incredibly small kitchen with only 1 chef on, so orders back up quick. Yesterday, we decided to give it another chance due to the portion sizes. Arrive at the counter at around 1pm and order the pancakes, to which we're told 'we aren't doing them right now' (there is a stack of pancakes on the table behind the lady). I back up and reread the menu, and ask her if it is all day breakfast. She says, 'yes, but we don't do pancakes when it gets too busy, such as on weekends'. Was also told there would be at least a 30 min wait time with only 3 families seated and 70% of the tables empty. Why do an all day menu if you pick and choose when you want to offer the items? Inconsistency, wait times and poor customer service has amounted to us deciding we won't waste our time or money here again. Definitely needs a revamp, at least of the kitchen, and a suitable amount of chefs to cook at the rate that a cafe requires. Also want to add that the coffee we were served previously must have been absolutely boiling and seared our mouths for days, and once had our meals come out 15 mins apart (other person had already finished eating by the time the second meal came). Highly recommend anyone thinking of coming here, to direct themselves 20m down the road to the next cafe (Cafe on Tamborine) which served us exactly what we wanted and came out in 15 mins despite being completely packed and busy, and i'm glad I have decided to stop giving opportunities to this business to change our opinion and have started exploring...

Appalling in every way possible. Worst breakfast we have ever had a restaurant. I highly recommend not choosing the Bean n Brunch for any meal. The smoked salmon was hard and chewy and a weird colour. We were all worried we were going to get food poisoning. The poached eggs were rubbery and the corn fritters were like a falafel crossed with a muffin. They were soggy rather than being crispy on top and light and fluffy. Nothing was fresh. Everything tasted pre cooked and heated up in a microwave. We were a group of 7 people who spent over $200 on breakfast. It was an absolute waste of our money. As customers, we feel offended and taken advantage of. We were so disappointed. I am not a chef but even I could have served up better food than what Bean n brunch served up. There was no thought, care or love put into any meal.

The service was also appalling and slow. The wait staff looked miserable and embarrassed about what they were serving to customers. The staff all looked flustered and as though they had all lost control of the restaurant. One of the wait staff could not speak English and could not even understand what the word ‘toilet’ meant and could not direct us to the toilet.

The owners and staff of this restaurant have lost the love for this establishment.

We were not the only unhappy customers. The customers before us asked for their money back because it was so awful and they had waited so long for their food. We told the people that were about to enter the restaurant not to bother waisting their time and...

Absolutely disgusted in management(also the chef) i ordered a a chicken parmi that took an hour to come out the chef gave me a snitzle with avo and cheese (not what i ordered) and got the waiter to ask if i wanted avo when the chicken was already loaded with avo infront of me. Me being polite i said it was fine and attempted to eat what i hadn’t ordered which was horrible so i took it up and politely said i couldnt eat it because the chicken was moshy and was not nice at all when the chef/manager started getting defensive and started blaming his waiter and myself for the food being incorrect when realistically he should have come and asked me before even preparing my meal he then continued to be super agressive towards me and then started taking it out on his poor staff which were absolutely lovely and did not deserve it at all! Definitely would NOT recommend and you couldnt pay me to go back there not that im welcome because he demanded that i got out which i was very happy to do! He also forgot to make a meal for our table aswell! So unorganised and unprofessional in every...
