Geelong West Social Club — Restaurant in Victoria

TLDR: If you have time and money to burn, this is the place for you!

I dont drink coffee very often, but quite often visit the cafe with a colleague. the coffee is good, staff are friendly, the atmosphere is nice and the music is generally upbeat and fun. HOWEVER, this is completely overshadowed by the unbelievable slow baristas and lackadaisical work ethic behind the counter. Seriously, maybe the baristas aren't aware of the energizing quality of the coffee they sluggishly produce for customers but they could definitely benefit from a few extra shots in the morning.

Update: after much consideration...I stand by...

It's easy to see why they have been able to serve the community for 9 years and still going strong. People flock here to get their early morning coffee daily. The owner is well known to everyone that frequents the establishment. Asking around where to get a good coffee and people say Geelong West Social Club, well not exactly, they say The Social Club off the main street. And it's easy to see why. The coffee is good! Really good! From my experience the milkshakes are a delight too. If you are in the area and need a place to chill the music the play is on point too to...

GWSC knows coffee just as well as it knows bagels - and it knows bagels extremely well. My pick? Can't go past The Cuban; legitimising pulled pork before midday.

To a simple man's eye, GWSC's staff may appear as hipster as their tattooed fist logo. However, don't let their cool persona fool you - they do know coffee, but they also know service.

This simple man could get used to sharing Saturday mornings with the Social Club.
