It was a very disappointing dinner for us last night. As a family of four, we ended up trying Tandoori Junction on our way back from our Easter trip. We ordered chicken and lamb biryani, roti, and kadai paneer. Unfortunately, none of the dishes were tasty. The biryani lacked flavour — it was more like a mix of masala rice with a few pieces of meat.
Please don’t be misled by the positive Google reviews; this place was a real deal-breaker for us. My eight-year-old, who usually loves biryani, could only manage a single spoonful before we gave up and had to waste the rest. It was especially disappointing after a tiring 7-hour drive.
Another shocking aspect was the restroom situation — you actually have to walk through the kitchen to reach the toilet! The whole experience left us...
Read moreWe read the reviews and decided to stop at this restaurant. The ambience is good but the floor if bit sticky sticky. We ordered Chicken Tikka Masala which was not even 10% near to what Chicken Tikka Masala actually tastes like. It was full on Onions with less gravy and the capsicum was fully good. Chicken was cooked properly but couldn't say it was chicken tikka. It had no smoky flavor. Ordered Garlic naan but it lacked Garlic flavor. We ordered Plain Rice which I would give 10/10. That was the only thing I liked. I would not recommend Chicken Tikka Masala to anyone. If you want to try, you may try some other items on the menu. But for the money I paid, not worth it...
Read moreService was very good. With Indian usually being a safe option, we decided to try this newly opened place. The highlight of the meal was the papadams, as everything from there went rapidly away from our favourite Indian flavours. The paneer tikka lacked a robust flavour that you would usually get in the spice mix, and the saffron rice was covered with a sugar syrup which we found to be unusual based on previous experiences of Indian. The malai kofta and samoas were acceptable, and would have probably been slightly more enjoyed had the other two dishes not disappointed. Give it a miss if you love Indian and have been to India. May suit others who prefer less spice...
