Hands down the Best kept secret in Mandurah, from the moment we approached the restaurant from the street you could smell the heavy aroma of spice. Upon entering we were greeted by a lovely warm atmosphere and a friendly waitress who immediately ushered us to a table and served us water and fresh hot Pappadums. Choosing the lunch set was hard as you are offered any 2 curries from the menu regardless of price, This in itself is amazing yet so difficult as the choices are varied and all sound so delicious. There were 4 of us and we all chose different options to taste. We had the Red Prawn Curry which was flavourful and generous, loaded with the perfect amount of spices and so well balanced, added to this was the Prawn Jalfrezi, once again generous and perfectly cooked. The Garlic Naan was to die for and the perfect side along with the Rice. We had the Curried Goat which was falling off the bone, so tender in a rich thick well-balanced sauce, just perfect. Our vegetarian in the group had Bombay Potatoes which were spicy, tender and so well cooked. Next was the Spicy Eggplant which was perfectly cooked and with just the right amount of heat. Lamb Rogan Josh was tender, juicy, with a great kick of spice and aromatics, lucky there was ample Naan to soak up all of the delicious sauces. Finished the meal with Mango Lassis which were the perfect finish to cleanse the palate. Cool and refreshing. The complimentary scoop of fennel seeds were also a nice touch to finish. Our Host and Chef Harvey was so personable and friendly it was just like having dinner with family. Do not miss this place, it will take you straight to the streets of India, so flavorsome, fresh, generous and just good honest cooking. The price was more than value for money and we will make this a regular spot for Lunch or Dinner. This has recently been refurbished and is very clean and cosy, no wonder they have won menu log restaurant awards. Thank you Harvey and staff for a wonderful experience...
Read moreMe and my wife had a terrible experience. We were here in the afternoon after a long drive from the city and we ordered chicken biryani which is a staple in all Indian restaurants. Unfortunately when it was served to us there was an unbearable odour . After we put it on our plates there was no doubt that the odour was from the food on our plates . The chicken was smelly and tasted terrible so after 2 bites we informed the restaurant and they agreed to change our meal for us - we proceeded to order chicken tandoori and rice and to our disappointment the chicken once again turned out to be smelly and mostly uncooked . We paid the price of the second meal for...
Read moreThis was the worst food delivery experience I've had. The butter chicken was incredibly sweet—mild is fine, but this tasted like sugar syrup. The same goes for the chicken tikka masala; the sauce was so sweet, it could replace sugar in tea. The palak paneer was a disaster. I know North Indians make great palak paneer, but this version was just chopped spinach thrown into bland sauce. The plain rice was undercooked, and almost everything was way too sweet. Definitely not worth the money, and the leftovers went straight into the trash—couldn’t even imagine eating them the next day. I'm glad I didn’t waste more by ordering the...
