Is evrything about money..??
I has a chance to dine in this place yesterday.
Quite a few guests and had to wait 5 mins to be heard but I guess this was okay given the traffic. I could see two people taking orders and were busy.
Anyways, we were two and wanted to dine in. We asked for a seat for two and were led to the table.. We knew instantly what we wanted to have after looking at the menu and I signalled the lady to come for the order, she nodded to affirm but again led by the busy crowd she only attended as after 5 mins of running around. It was, again, okay as I could see people around.
We ordered a chicken chowmein and a chicken fried rice. As we do not want to eat seafood, or any meat (except chicken) .. we tried to explain to the lady... She after understanding said they could do it. Happy and hungry as we were ..waited for our order to come.
The lady comes after 5mins to tell us that our orders is below $30 and they could only serve dine in if we ordered more than that. Strange as it sounded to me, she showed us the note on the menu.. a little frustrated though I requested them to make it a take away as we did not want to have anything more.. the food we ordered was good enough for both of us.
We were told it would take 10-15 mins for the order to be ready.. again I said okay and took out my card to pay.
The lady said its 5% charge for amex, 2% for MasterCard so I gave her my savings card and proceeded to wait outside.
After 20mins of wait.. the lady vame to tell me that she needs to charge me $3 extra for the chicken.. This was enough to prick me..I responded to her in irritation (yet not sounding angry but annoyed) is it all bout money here..?? She said sorry in a rush and went way..
I paid thw extra $3 at the counter and asked to make it quick as it was almost 25mins after ordering..
After 10 more minutes another lady comes in with our take away.packet. We took it and proceeded towards our car only to notice that there were no napkins and fork.. I went to the counter again to ask for them.. This time to my surprise they didn't ask for another $$.. I actually thought that they might ask.
Food - average and okay.. overcooked, less salt and my chicken chowmein had fried noodles packed separately... (reallly!!! who give separate fried noodles and not cooked in a chicken chowmein..)
I am not going to Recommend this place to anyone who is in rush.. may have been good for others but not for me..
$$$ is one aspect of runnuning business but customer satisfaction is another .. hope these people learn...
Read moreWe had a luncheon special at Jades yesterday. The lass that looked after us was happy and pleasant. Gave us plenty of time to choose what we wanted to eat and gave us a lovely cold bottle of water. I had a delicious Prawn Chow Mein with Steamed Rice both cooked perfectly the rice especially perfect I hate fluffy rice but this was 1st class. John had Satay Beef. Which he loves and that's what he chooses where ever we go. And he really loves what Jades serve up to him.. he is very fussy. And he had Fried Rice which was everything he asked for ,for he ate every thing on his plate was gone. We were late going in but they never pushed us out as some places do. When I apologized the lass just said for us to take our time. It was so relaxing after a delicious meal....
Read moreI keep giving them a chance. This is the 3rd time I was told come and pick up your take away in 15 minutes, and then proceeded to wait 60+ minutes for my meal. There was no apologies, no thank you for your patience. Once I got the food it was all cold; in my order there were 2 serves of crackers one of which was so stale they were inedible - even the dogs knew they were bad and wouldn’t eat them.
It’s a shame because the food was acceptable. And I’m more than happy to wait for meals but just being told the correct timing would be so helpful. - and acknowledging customers especially when they’re sitting there waiting in a near empty restaurant .
Previous experience I sat with a group of 5 others also told their meals would be ready in 15 minutes just to wait...
