This was not a great experience unfortunately. I ordered a long macchiato topped up with almond milk to have dine in. When the barista brought my coffee out, it was in a huge mug with a lot of milk and completely different to what I would usually receive ordering the same coffee at another cafe. When I asked if I could have a small coffee with less milk, the barista rather rudely responded “ If you want less milk, you have to ask for that” in a very rude tone. Feeling rather awkward and confused, I responded that I never asked for a large And the macchiato usually came in quite a small glass. He then proceeded to Explain the traditional macchiato was what I ordered, without even having been there at the time I had ordered. I disagreed with him and said that my order was a long macchiato topped up and that I wasn’t expecting or could not drink that much milk. No apology or any reasoning given, he Stormed away, Returning a moment later, placing a dollar On the table next to me and proceeding to make a coffee the right size. Pretty crappy service and feeling very Unwelcome. It was not a...

Disappointing service and average food. Don't come here if you have dietary requirements.

We had to go out of our way to be seen by the staff, and when our orders were finally taken our waiter acted like we were an inconvenience to whatever else they had to do. When I explained I had a dairy allergy, I felt like I was being dismissed/they weren't paying attention. And lo and behold, my toast later came out slathered in butter. They quickly rectified this, but the damage had been done and I felt absolutely terrible because I had just become that customer who had wasted perfectly good food.

As for the food itself, menu items are very basic and can easily be put together at home. There are much better brunch and breakfast places in Perth that are way more creative with their dishes - for the same price - to check out. However, just based on the service, I won't be...

A Huge Thanks to Sarah and Her Incredible Team!

I can’t recommend Mary Street Bakery enough! Every visit is a delight, and this morning was no exception. A special shoutout to Sarah and her amazing team for their exceptional service and speedy coffee-making skills.

I was in a bit of a rush, but the team handled the busy morning crowd effortlessly. Despite the hustle and bustle, my coffee was ready in no time—and it was absolutely perfect, as always. Sarah and her team have a way of making every customer feel welcome while keeping the service fast and efficient.

If you’re looking for a place where the coffee is consistently excellent and the staff genuinely care about your experience, Mary Street Bakery is the spot. Thanks again, Sarah and team—you...

What a fab place!!! The coffee is good, the pastries are always a tasty delight - doesn't matter what you buy - and the food is quite adventurous. Our first breakfast here we had the Fried Chicken Buttermilk Pancakes and the Omlette Prawn Nam Jim. The pancakes are a HUGE serving (feels like you get 1/2 a chicken) but tasty and the omlette was cooked to perfection. Like other reviewers have said, the outdoor seating and central CBD location is great but can get a little windy at times. Love how light and clean this place always is! The service is pretty good; most of the staff are friendly with a good sense of urgency although we have been served by one or two who are a little nonchalant and even pretentious. This won't stop us from going back though.

We came here based on an article that promised a delicious brunch and have never been more disappointed... the dirty chai tasted more like dirty dishwater, the almond croissant was about as good as a door stop, you might need a visit to the dentist after trying to bite through that. The chicken sandwich was quite the opposite, wet, floppy and packed full of grease. I had hopes for the chocolate cookie but it seems, that it was made weeks ago and was drier than Gandhi's flip flop. The hot chocolate was bang avarage at best. We left sorely let down, hungry and severely lacking saliva, which only returned with dreams of chu bakery
