This is one of a lifetime experience because it is just not worth coming back. I understand if you are 16 and fancy bear shaped ice and taking pictures of everything you eat/drink. Loving your life one instagram post at a time should be the slogan of this place. Ordered two coffee, one being a oat latte. When the lady served them, I asked which is the oat latte. She said ‘I don’t know’ and walked away. Great customer service there! I thought I was at the Karen’s diner. Messed up my order too. Would have rated 0 star if there is that option.

🚮🚮🚮🚮🚮🚮🚮🚮🚮🚮🚮🚮🚮 EDIT: I can see you never really appreciate honest reviews. You misunderstood me here, as I said to you which I believe was also ‘captured on security camera’ (btw, what kind of owner will say your order has been captured on our security camera anyways?) I don’t mind paying for extra coffee as I’m a coffee freak and caffeine is my fuel. My point was, the coffee was average and so was the desert. Also, when my gf specifically asked for no sugar in all coffee to which you said yes to, there was definitely sugar in one of my coffee. So safe to say, more than one of you was as I quote you again, ‘confused’.

Moreover, understand the first waitress was a ‘first-day’ employee now. Then what about the other waitress who pointed at the desert plate and asked if I was finished. I said yes and you may take that plate away. So she did, but also along with my half finished coffee. But that drink being so average, I had no issue with she also taking that out of my sight. I guess it is also her first day? Seems like you have many new starters every time there is a bad review. Either you are not doing proper trainings and a pattern is starting to emerge here OR that was a lie. But thank god I’m not the owner of this fine establishment, so it will be up to you if you appreciate all reviews and strive on constructive criticism here. I’m okay with $30 bucks or so being wasted. More of a fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me situation here. So best of luck. Thanks.

Edit: not worth my breath. Try making more sense and finish your sentences next time. GL.

🚮🚮🚮🚮🚮🚮🚮🚮🚮🚮🚮🚮🚮

Edit: keep that. You might need that more than any cafés down the track. And I wasn’t aggressive in the shop nor here on google maps. I state facts and facts unfortunately don’t care about ur feelings. Good...

The worst customer service in Perth. We ordered three meals and each meal came out separately with 45mins between each meal. Ridiculous. The drinks were no better, drink 1 & 2 came out around 20mins apart and the third drink just never came out until we asked maybe four different people for it after about an hour. They then brought out a completely wrong drink and had to take it back and make the right drink. This is not an exaggeration we got there for 11am and by the time everyone had gotten their meal and drink it was around 2.30pm. We complained multiple times asking where meals were and I wish the staff were just honest from the start and told us things would take three hours so we could have left. Instead they kept saying "it's coming right now" so we would stay and this was obviously not true. Just be honest so people can get their money back and leave and go somewhere where they can actually have a nice meal together at the same time and not waste 3hrs. I don't even understand how you can have 45mins between meals on the same docket, does the chef just pick and choose what to make next not based on order or? Also they kept running out of items, once a meal or a drink did finally come out they would try to take it off us before it was finished because you could tell they needed the dishes back. Very rude. They gave us menus and tried to take them off us after maybe 5mins before our whole table had even arrived. Makes no sense does it. Also the food appears unique and "insta-worthy" but if you really look at it the french toast everyone is so excited about is just one slice of toast for $25, the food comes out cold and separate to the rest of the table, and the drinks are watery and melted by the time they get to your table. I'm honestly not sure how this place will stay in business, please don't waste your time for some bear ice cubes. The gimmick it...

Overpriced frozen desserts and rude service from owner himself– not real patisserie

We came in hoping for some decent French-style patisserie, but sadly the experience was disappointing from start to finish.

The so-called “patisserie” pieces were $14+ each, and after paying, we were told they were frozen and needed 10 minutes to defrost. At that price, we expected at least something freshly made or properly stored — not half-frozen, watery desserts that tasted more like sorbet than any real pastry.

We were a group of 7 sharing just 3 desserts to sample. When we politely asked for a few small plates to share them, we were told there were no clean plates left. Seriously?

We later approached the owner to express our concerns, and instead of listening or offering any kind of solution, he became defensive and raised his voice, saying he wouldn’t refund us because we had “eaten some.” We’d only had a few bites each — just enough to realize it wasn’t what we were led to believe.

He could have offered a partial refund, or even just an apology. Instead, he gave us attitude.

Also, our drinks took nearly 20 minutes to arrive.

Overall, a terrible experience — overpriced, misleading, and with a rude owner who clearly doesn’t care about customer satisfaction. Definitely not a place...

We were three families who drove over an hour to Gemini Café after seeing the TikTok hype. Sadly, it was a huge disappointment. We ordered two rainbow toasties—$30 wasted. They looked fun but were tasteless with overly thick cheese, and the kids wouldn’t eat them. My daughter’s avocado sandwich was toasted on just one side. I took one photo but was too disgusted to take more. Her hot drink wasn’t stirred, sugar sat at the bottom, and no spoon was provided. My crepe had raw egg whites, even after being sent back. The matcha was cold, too sweet, and undrinkable, even after adding hot water. My daughter-in-law’s meal was so bland, she barely touched it. The floor under our table was filthy, which is unacceptable in any café. The food was overpriced and flavourless. We didn’t check reviews beforehand—but on the way home, we did. Sadly, the complaints were true, and the owner’s responses were rude and dismissive. The only highlight? The teddy bear cold drinks, which the kids loved — and they did enjoy the nuggets and chips. But overall, this was a disappointing and expensive visit. 0 out of 10. People—read the reviews before you visit this café. It’s all just hype.

We recently had breakfast at Gemeni Restaurant in Perth CBD, and it was an excellent experience! The ambiance is inviting and modern, with tasteful decor that creates a relaxed, cozy vibe—perfect for starting the day. We ordered an hot chocolate, coffee, eggs and veggie plate, and gemeni french toast, and each item was deliciously satisfying. The iced chocolate was rich and refreshing, a real treat to enjoy alongside the smooth, expertly brewed coffee. The eggs were cooked to perfection, served with fresh accompaniments that elevated the flavors. The pancakes were fluffy and indulgent, topped with just the right amount of sweetness—an absolute must-try! The staff was attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. It was clear that each dish was prepared with care, and the service added to the overall positive experience. Gemeni Restaurant is a gem in Perth CBD, and we’ll definitely be back to try more of their menu. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quality breakfast in a welcoming setting!

Saw this place on Instagram and thought it looked awesome, we were sadly disappointed due to a 30 minute wait for coffee and an hour wait for food. We ordered two crepes, poached eggs on toast, an avolatte meal and a ham and cheese croissant with iced mocha and 3 coffees. Sad to say the avolatte just looked like drain water in an old avocado shell (no latte art like their IG photos or maybe it sat too long before it got to the table). Pictured is the poached egg on undercooked toast. We didn’t even bother with a pic of the avolatte because it was that sad. The scrambled eggs were oily and after one taste could not stomach anymore. The tables were dirty and we had to ask several times to get them clean. The poor girl working the till was lovely and apologetic and the only decent meal was the crepes but that’s where it ends. This experience left us all with a bad start to the day. I would not go back.
