The staff were very friendly and hospitable. The food both at the HQ and ground floor was excellent. The environment/atmosphere and room however yields some room for improvement. First upon entering, one enters the reception area that is primarily for dining on ground floor, looking much like a community college cafeteria. I expected a nice lobby with seating and vases of large floral arrangements, given the reputation of this hotel. The air-conditioning: Relentless. And it's everywhere . But it is constant to the point where one feels chilly and uncomfortable. Needs to be toned down. Even top floor restaurant was just too cold in order to fully appreciate the fabulous meal. The restaurant's ambience was lovely with a sort of 'zen-like' feel to it, but with that it ought to be encouraged that the noisy clatter and chatter from the guests be toned down to a minimum. We wanted to sit out on terrace but the only seating available had been next to a noisy group of people, so we opted to dine inside. The room: We were told our room had been upgraded. It looked fairly average and was nothing special; wasn't even all that spacious. But linens were fresh and the room looked tidy. The bed however had no top sheet! Just a doona for top cover, which was way too hot. Never stayed in a hotel that hadn't furnished the beds with a standard top sheet. Pillows were terribly uncomfortable. All made for a sleepless night. The light in bathroom way too bright, as my partner's sleep was disrupted whenever I used the toilet; also too bright for person using toilet. Bathroom could use a nightlight for this purpose. And the air conditioner was also a problem due to it being too complicated to operate. Needs to be more user-friendly. Room was way too cold until we finally figured it out. Coffee maker, complimentary milk and water was appreciated but after milk was poured into coffee cup it was too cold to drink. Room needs a small microwave. Definitely a...

I left this hotel very impressed and if you’re looking for a modern place in a brilliant central location then you should certainly consider here. Checking in late in the evening was a delight, with the member of staff providing a great welcome and offering recommendations in the area. My room was on the second floor overlooking the main road at the front, but it remained silent throughout the stay with great sleep quality.

The room was very modern and spotlessly clean. The bedroom area was spacious enough although only had a chair at the small desk, rather than any form of armchair, and the wardrobe is open to the room. The Nespresso coffee machine was a nice touch and there was a mini bar stocked with some milk. Lighting in the room was superb and electric sockets present at both sides of the bed.

The sliding door to the bathroom was a unique aspect and opening revealed a large and impressive space. There was so much storage space with decent toiletries and good towels and it continued the clean and modern feel. I left the ‘do not disturb’ light illuminated one day but on returning to the room it was incredible to find clean towels left in a bag hanging on the door - superb touch.

The top floor of the hotel has a nice restaurant and bar. With the outdoor seating it’s a great place to spend the end of an evening and there’s a good atmosphere. It was just a shame that it closes so early!

My only complaint about this hotel would be the early time set for checkout at 10am. Otherwise it was prefect for my needs and I’ll certainly be staying again -...

Stayed here for 2 nights and it was an overall pleasant experience. The carpark is right next door to the hotel but we were pretty shocked by the carpark lift lobby once you reach the ground floor - it opens right into a bin/exhaust area and isn’t the most welcoming or pleasant start.

Thankfully the hotel itself was much better and our room was pretty spacious which made it easy for us to open our luggage. Cleanliness was quite ok although we noticed some marks and dirt on the walls. However, the design of the room is a little odd - the hanging area for clothes is pretty tiny, and there was a desk area (but there wasn’t a proper chair). There was a lounge chair by the bed but it was too low for the desk. The other thing that could be improved would be the sound proofing - we were so shocked on the first night when we heard a slam and thought someone was trying to open our door! Turns out it was the door of another room and this loud bang happened everytime someone went in/out which was a little disruptive especially while sleeping

Our bathroom was pretty large too although another flaw was that despite having a lot of room, there wasn’t a proper sink countertop or ledge to place items which would have been much more practical

Nonetheless, I’d stay again for the location...

When I arrived at Quay Perth I was greeted warmly by the reception staff. The check-in was easy & seamless and I was provided with my room key. They provided clear instruction on how to get to my room. Upon entering the room the A/C was on & it was lovely and cool (especially given the heat of Perth in summer!) The room was well presented and immaculate. The fridge had bottled water and milk and they also supplied coffee pods for the machine. The bed was very comfy and pillows were great. Room service was easy to order via QR code and they delivered in a timely manner (although I had requested a scheduled delivery time which maybe they missed) The only downside I can really think of is that the shower in the room. When showering, the water tends to leak out from under the door creating a mini flood in the foyer area. Thankfully there was enough towels to mop it up but it shouldn't happen in the first place. As for parking, there is a parking building next door however the prices were quite expensive at $38 per night. If you are able to find some on-street parking near the hotel, its free from 6pm (just double check the signage). Checkout was nice & simple and again seamless. They took my room service charge out of my deposit and then I was on my way.

There is so much to love about this hotel - the view is AMAZING of the Elizabeth Quay. Food is also incredibly delicious and a very good variety both at the Community cafe downstairs and at the rooftop bar HQ. I love how thoughtful the owners have been in refurbishing the venue, keeping the skeleton and bones of the historic building, yet optimising the space with thoughtful room layouts. I also love how they’ve retained the Asian influence in the fusion cuisine they serve at HQ to reflect that there was a Chinese restaurant operating in the building decades ago. Love love love - best boutique hotel in Perth by far!! Even better than most of the commercial 5 star hotels here! Did I mention the marble / stone bathrooms from floor to ceiling, including the ceiling?! 😍😍 Oh, and the couch by the window ledge was the cherry on top - I really enjoyed working and reading there with the natural sunlight whilst overlooking the Quay. And the thoughtful and amazing team at Quay Perth also got us some baby amenities! How family friendly?! Impeccable and friendly service from everyone we met during our visit!
