An idea; if it’s a 39 degree day+your restaurant is full, and the size of a living room and the aircon is broken, maybe call people who have booked and advise them it won’t be an enjoyable experience and close the venue instead of letting people fine.
Came here on 11/12 for my Birthday, the restaurant was chosen by my Mum as she’d been before and thought it might be good for a birthday lunch?
It was so hot inside sitting on this god awful tiny bar stool type table. Wait staff visibly sweating, having to use drink menus to fan yourself. We tried to enjoy and order regardless but genuinely, it was too uncomfortable to even put the menu down to eat the food.
We ordered the veggie tempura, raw grilled beef (??) the roast potatoes with aioli, and the asian side salad.
Veggie Tempura; So firm and flavourless and this random spice powder on the coating that was totally overpowering. And the sauce it came with has barely any flavour. The actual vegetables inside were SO tough too. Genuinely had one bite and put it down because I needed to get back to fanning myself. Roasted Potato’s; tasted like boiled flavourless potatoes with some herbs sprinkled on it, for what, $16?
My mum asked me if I even wanted to stay since we had started eating/ or if we should just try to eat while she had sweat dripping on her face. She got up to tell the italian host guy that we wanted to leave, we paid for everything (the fact she wasn’t even offered a percentage off is wild, as myself someone who works in a hotel where we offer compensation for in room dining when someone’s aircon is broken.)
And we left after 30+ minutes maybe less of dining.
Absolutely atrocious and sadly ruined my day was...
Read moreSo disappointed in this place. Will admit I was greeted politely and seated promptly outside. But the moment I said I would only be ordering drinks their whole approach changed, was told someone would be taking my order (please note it was not busy at the time and they do have enough staff) after 10minutes ( thinking I might have misunderstood) i wanted to place my order at the bar by which I was told to go back to my seat someone will come, than I was said no wait let me just take your order, great thank goodness finally I can have a nice cup of coffee and just relax a bit. Eventually the coffee comes ( took about 15 to 20minutes to get 2 coffees and 2 pepsis out of them) was so grateful, to have both coffees ICE COLD , not even lukewarm. It was cold like it has been forgotten) the ice in the Pepsi was already melted and I would have completely understood if they were busy, but 3 waiters could attend to a table of 5 at the time but not one can bring our order or even tell me to go fetch it! And another thing, every customer is a paying customer no matter what is being ordered, telling the people next to me ( they were also still enjoying their fruit juice still) that they have 15minutes left as they need the table and no one occupying their table afterwards is RUDE. And I saw how your waitress rolled her eyes at the old lady when she very kindly repeated herself that she had asked lemon with her her beer ( and yes she did request lemon when she placed her order in fact she said twice not to forget the dash of lemon)
You are sitting on such a beautiful little venue but if that's how customers are treated I can see why you are quite even though you are right at...
Read moreBoy what a brilliant surprise we had on Sunday at Mister Walker Restaurant. We booked the family in to this lovely Restaurant for lunch and from the moment we walked in we were most impressed for many reasons This first class facility certainly knocked our socks off we loved the place. The staff were super efficient and very friendly they just couldn’t do enough for us . The lovely lady looking after our table was fantastic she ensured we all had drinks to start with and knew the specials for the day. Then she suggested what the children might like for lunch based on her experience. Pleased to say all of the children just loved there meals which is very unusual The adults started our adventure with a shared Butchers Board which was to die for just sensational. Our mains consisted of grilled snapper Spanish Mackerel spicy octopus pasta pulled brisket etc etc and some beautiful vegetables and an array of delicious salads and of course double roasted potatoes. Truely the quality of food was a treat. The atmosphere was amazing everyone was talkative and happy enjoying the first class food not only at our table but all surrounding tables The spectacular location is second to none and just tops off what we consider to be one of the best lunches we have had. Customer service wise the staff needed to take a bow they were exceptional and helped make our celebrations unforgettable Value for money wise it’s unbeatable, quality food serviced with a minimum of fuss Don’t miss out folks come try this little gem and also enjoy the beautiful...
