My family visited this restaurant as we were staying at the resort, it was my wife's 50th birthday, I ordered the vegetarian gnocchi but added chicken, however the amount of chicken was so small and hard to find, my son ordered the chicken Rio, the potato rosties were cold and uncooked in the middle, we complained about this and they apologised and bought out more potato rosties which looked extra cooked to be sure, in the meantime my wife's fish and chips which we asked to be grilled was not hot, she turned the fish over only to find what looked to be a metal hairpin or similar, we complained about that, the restaurant apologised and refunded the total cost of our meals and drinks. While the food was not the best and a potential safety hazard had my wife swallowed the pin at least they did refund...

Very clean .nice rooms customer service was poor and felt as we were intruding when asked for room service was told that we had to come and pick up ourselves. Felt the Oakes was so understaffed and not trained shame as it has so much to offer and did not deliver.Pool would have been great if they would have put in more lighting to comply with shire rules then they could stay open after 6.00pm.
