Whoever gave this place five stars seriously needs to reevaluate their entire life’s decisions because what in the culinary catastrophe was that?! I swear, a Hungry Jack’s Whopper would’ve put this “gourmet” burger to shame. Mine was still mooing like it wanted to go back to the farm, and the chips were so oily they could’ve started an international grease trade. To top it off, we waited 45 minutes while the waiter did laps around the restaurant like it was a warm-up for the Olympics. Meanwhile, our food just sat there cooling off, dying a slow and flavourless death. Came here after seeing 1.9k glowing reviews and a 4.7 rating. Left wondering if everyone else was fed something completely different. Do better. Much better. Luke warm regards, Merve ****Replying here since Google doesn’t let me respond directly to your comment:**** Wow Lachlan, interesting approach to customer service. Instead of addressing the actual issue, you decided to identify me through CCTV and point out what I was wearing? Classy move. If I wanted to hide behind anonymity, I wouldn’t have left a review under my own name. Thank you for confirming you tracked me through cameras and transaction data to “prove” a point, that’s definitely not the professional response one expects from a business. The timestamps you provided only confirm how long it took for the food to arrive, not why it was cold, oily, and undercooked. If 18 minutes is your standard turnaround time, surely that’s enough time to serve a cooked burger and warm chips? Your response says a lot more about your attitude toward feedback than my review ever could. I didn’t pay $41.39 to be told what colour I was wearing. I paid for a meal that should’ve been edible. Mistakes happen, but the real mistake here was your attempt to intimidate a customer instead of taking responsibility. But hey, if stalking customers on CCTV is your idea of “quality control,” maybe the cameras should be pointed at the kitchen instead. Thanks for the free surveillance recap. Next time, I’ll bring popcorn to watch the replay of my undercooked burger. Regards, Merve ***************** I appreciate you taking the time to respond, but your message reads more like an attempt to defend rather than address the customer’s experience. My review wasn’t “misleading”, it was an honest reflection of what I experienced as a paying customer. Reviews exist so businesses can gain perspective, not to personally attack staff or management. If your first instinct to criticism is to investigate the customer rather than the issue, that says more about how feedback is handled than the feedback itself. You’ve chosen to focus on justifying your processes instead of acknowledging that the food and service didn’t meet expectations. No one is expecting perfection, just accountability and a professional attitude. Tracking a customer through CCTV and referencing what they were wearing isn’t standard hospitality practice, and it certainly doesn’t build trust. In regard to the timing, the inconsistency wasn’t intentional. If we’re being specific, the food came out in 22 minutes, not 18 as we took a photo of when it arrived. I’ve attached the timestamp from that photo for your reference. But 22 minutes can feel like a long wait when you walk into a restaurant starving, especially when you see waiters chatting among themselves while not only our food but others meals sit there. Naturally, that led to some frustration. My initial review may have been sarcastic, but it accurately described our experience. The timestamp might’ve been slightly off, but that doesn’t change the fact that the burger was completely raw, the chips were overly oily, and the staff weren’t attentive. Why would I approach staff who were clearly more focused on socialising than serving? It simply didn’t seem worth wasting more time discussing it when that energy could be better spent elsewhere, respectfully. I didn’t post the review seeking a refund, I posted it for accountability which, ironically still hasn’t been met.

Wow! Best fricken burger I’ve had in a very long time 🙌🏼🫡 I had to call the Manager to leave a compliment- I’ve not done this before - rung a restaurant... Thank you for your great service 💯 and the manager is awesome! I ordered His Boy Elroy for the first time on Menulog today for an early Friday night dinner for my husband and I - he is Vegetarian but I eat meat - this restaurant is vegan friendly if that’s your thing. The menu so deadset mouth watering and creative as I was reading it online and that many options… Gravy Cheese Loaded fries!? The Heisenburger!? What an awesome name, but I chose the Miss Piggy Burger, slow cooked pulled pork. Chili Cheese Loaded fries and the Faux Boy Burger for my husband. Ordering online is like a lucky dip - you rely on a very detailed description, Elroy’s was on point 👌🏼Exactly the mouth watering sensation of “I want my food now, like right now”! It arrived BEFORE it was expected and I am 6kms out of the area. The packaging is so awesomely designed. I don’t know if anyone else cares, but I actually like the way my food packaged when it comes especially delivered. Visually pleasing. I appreciate the time the owner took to design their branding. Presentation is important to me. I really appreciate it. My food smelt that delicious and when I opened my order with KNOWING WHAT ORDER WAS MINE ( don’t you hate when you open every burger box/wrapper and it’s not your burger? ) it came in a box and wrapped, it was wrapped fresh in one piece and my God you can’t make this sh*t up. The Miss Piggy Pulled Pork that’s slow cooked was the best burger I’ve had. It was perfectly cooked, perfect eating temperature- no sogage at all! It was juicy and those corn chips - wow. My Gravy Cheese Loaded fries - amazing ✌🏼 My husband loved his food too. I added the salt and vinegar onion ring to his burger which he loved! As for the price - honestly I’ve paid more for a less quality burger - a+++++++++++ Would highly highly recommend for a Menulog or Ubereats - will definitely check this out in person 🤌🏼✌🏼 Thankyou so much!!!!!! My new saved fav!! Gaudiosi

No 1 absolutely worst food I've ordered this year. (yes I know what you think, nearly 1300 reviews and 4.7 rating, what could go wrong, right?) Let me share my story. I REALLY wanted to have good burger and made an effort to add few extra kilometres on my way to have a lunch at His Boy. And, oh boy. Got my order - put hand on fries - and after a few my kidneys started begging for mercy. Crazy amount of salt! I know it's common trick to make food more salty as people order more drinks, but not mid day, when you're in the restaurant for lunch with a little baby, for god sake. Well, I reached out for the burger. "Palm Tree Up A Pole" sounds like a great name... for something that was absolutely ruined by insane amount of pineapple jam. I was expecting just a hint, you know, for the contrast, but I got so much sweetness that my burger tasted like a bloody donut. No, seriously, it was that hideously sweet and disgusting. The other burger we've had - Oklahoma - was much better, although I got it for double patty, meaning extra meat, but it felt I got way too much extra grease instead. Underwhelming. In the end, wings, that were dry and had no flavour. Like, quite literally, nothing at all, I kid you not, there was no salt, pepper or anything of a flavour in that southern coating. Or perhaps my taste buds were already so badly abused and simply had given up. As a result of that treachery, both me and my wife not only didn't eat anything for the rest of the day, but also had a serious conversation about our diet. Extra star in my review for that unexpected side effect, as well as for the drinks menu that looked very decent (although I didn't try it).

I went to this restaurant twice in a week, the first time was great, food was good and the workers were cheerful, set a vibe that had me reminiscing on my days working at a cafe burger bar. So sure enough a week later when I was staying around the corner I decided after a long day at work to re visit, grab some food and then ease up for the rest of the night.

Sadly this next experience was in stark contrast to the first. Where the staff that night decided minimal effort to none was the standard they were going to set. People who ordered 15 minutes after me received their food before me and when one of the floor staff asked 45 minutes after I had ordered (and specified my waiting location) if I was waiting on food, I knew my long day... was about to get longer. Sure enough my order was retrieved and upon opening the bag the food was barely radiating any kind of heat. Disappointed and yet thankful for microwave technology at the same time I turned to leave when the young waiter beckoned me, not to apologise for the substandard service. Not to offer any compensation, but to cement in my mind that they had no idea what was going on by asking if I had paid for the food yet! Something I found rather remarkable given there is no table service.

The restaurant was not understaffed and wasn't even busy at this time. I completely understand that mistakes happen, however mistakes are accompanied by an attitude of doing your best and making an effort. Sadly, outside of your kitchen that night, effort was absent. Treating your customers with contempt is not a good look and I hope this doesn't occur again and that this restaurant only receives positive feedback from here on out. Sadly though, this experience has ensured in the future i'll be going elsewhere.

After posting this review management reached out, apologised and offered me the chance to return on the house so that they might redeem themselves. And redeem themselves they did. Staff were smiling happy, ensuring all guests had what they needed. Food was promptly delivered and cleared when ready and done. And it tasted Great!

The atmosphere on the Saturday afternoon had me a little jealous of those in the restaurant who were not in a rush and seemed to be revelling in knocking back a few cold ones in an upbeat yet relaxed environment.

Hats off to the management of this place who went out of their way to ensure that their customers knew they were heard and offered the opportunity to ensure they returned for a...
