First time visiting and this place was fully booked out. We ordered the 1.Beef special pho 2. Special Vermicelli 3. Crispy skin chicken tomato rice. I tend to have a few particular dishes used as a measuring stick of how a restaurant fairs in terms of taste. For me, Vietnamese food its all about the Pho!! The Pho here was excellent with its authentic broth flavours and is right up there (Ie Bankstown's pho) in terms of quality. The beef brisket levelled this dish up as it was soft, tender and outright tasty. The Special vermicelli was also fresh and the combination works very well with the spring rolls, filled pork, charcoal pork and lemon grass beef. Lastly, the crispy skin chicken was cooked very well with its paper thin and crispy skin. Both the rice and chicken did not have an oily taste which too many other places do. Yummy tomato rice as it should be with a great balance of the chicken and salads. Overall, the complexity of these dishes while it may seem simple is far from it. I can tell the chefs have alot of experience and it shows from the great tasting authentic flavours. Hats off to them.

The swift and polite service from staff, the quickness of dishes coming out and the decor made it a delightful experience.

I was definitely impressed and will be back to try more Vietnamese cuisine. 2 thumbs up and a must if your...

My husband, sister and I came in tonight. Lovely food and lovely home made lemon soda. I’m only giving you a 3 because from my table I took notice of how you were treating your staff. Especially the young girl who was working behind bar. You were stressing out for no reason then yelling at her to go help out on floor then not even 5 minutes later you would yell at her because she wasn’t making drinks. You lack organization. I myself own a restaurant and you need to have one person behind bar only. Not having constant people walking in and out flustering the poor girl. 1 worker behind bar 1 worker as a bar runner 2 workers as the food runners and taking people’s orders. You then proceeded to push the girl working behind bar out of the way cause you thought she was doing something wrong when clearly she wasn’t. The proceeded snatching things out of her hand and then not listening to what she was explaining to you. You seem quite rude to your workers. I’d try to act a bit nicer and stop stressing over things that don’t need to be stressed about. Let your workers work stop pushing them out of the way cause they aren’t going to learn with you constantly stressing them out and making them feel incapable and on the brink of tears.

Other than this your workers are lovely and approachable and your...

Ordered the Satay Combination and Special Fried Rice for dinner as a takeaway meal . The service was cordial and the wait time was short. The Satay Combo was one of the best I’ve had from throughout Australia. Packed with meat including prawns, chicken, beef and squid in ample proportions. These guys are NOT stingy with the meat and the serving size is just huge. The Special Fried Rice is a little anemic but to be fair it’s got a good balance of ā€˜special bits’. The presentation for a takeaway meal was pretty good too. It shows the Chef has pride in his cooking no matter if it’s served in house or in a plastic takeaway container. I generally rate a ā€˜Chinese’ restaurant by its standard of Satay Combination and if the rest of the menu matches this Satay then I confidently say that the rest of the menu will not disappoint. Wollongong is my second home now and I will definitely be back for more Mylan Restaurant Satay Combo. Thanks Mylan team for...

Amazing food. Great, friendly, quick service. Would recommend the tom yum to anyone who asks! Entree of crab claws and vietnamese pancake was tasty, though the accompanying dipping sauces didn't compliment them very well. For mains the plum duck which had tender meat and crispy skin with a perfect tangy plum sauce was rich and flavourful. As I mentioned the tom yum, which was incredible, clear broth packed with flavours, crunchy bean sprouts, shitakke and celery added texture and taste. Dessert was tapioca with stewed banana and that was the perfect finisher, sweet but not overtly so, definitely coming back to eat again. Definitely a share-with-friends type place, portions are large. My ONLY issue was the hot chocolate. Made with boiled water instead of milk. Good amount of froth but really, dont cheap out on a hot chocolate! Go full milk or go home 😜
