Schnitz Wollongong — Restaurant in Wollongong City Council

My partner and I regularly eat at various Schnitz locations - namely at Miranda (as we live in Miranda) and Wollongong (as we have family here and regularly visit).

Tonight (16th July, 2020 at approximately 7.30pm) we order the same meal we essentially order EVERY TIME we eat at Schnitz. As we both do not eat cheese, we always swap out the cheese with another ingredient - as has been encouraged by many staff members at Schnitz before.

For the first time tonight, we were charged extra for omitting the cheese for another ingredient in both our meals!!!!!! This did not happen a week ago at Miranda (and every other time I have eaten at Schnitz, in various locations - including Wollongong). So, what has changed!!!! Or is this a Saturday night surcharge????

This will be the last time I will eat at this location!!!!! Please improve staff training and knowledge at Wollongong store - as consistency that aligns with the other stores would be great!!!!! There have also been a few occasions where we have gone to scan our Schnitz loyalty card on our Schnitz App at Wollongong location and the scanner doesn't work. Why have a loyalty program if you can't reward customers that are loyal to you!!!!!!!

OK, just to top it of - just received my meal and the grilled capsicum I just paid extra for was not in my burger!!!!! Well done Schnitz Wollongong - you guys take first prize in customer satisfaction from myself!!!!! What a joke!!!!!!! Pathetic service and attention to detail. I suppose you are only as good as the training...

I love schnitz and recommend it to everyone i know, it is actually my favourite restaurant!

I have never had a problem in store. The team is always very friendly and food is great.

This being said, the past 2 times, in a row, via uber eats my order has been wrong. I get a plain and simple burger with no mayo.

Twice in a row i have received just bread and chicken with nothing else :(.

This is disappointing as the burger is $18 on uber eats and delivery+service fee is $5, so i have essentially paid $23 for bread and a piece of chicken.

I called the store and they advised me to contact uber, but that it was their mistake and confirmed the order showed up correctly on their end,

I was disappointed when this happened the first time as i love schnitz, however the same mistake weeks apart has left me confused as it’s such an odd mistake to make, leaving off the tomato,...

This is literally the worst place it eat in all of Wollongong. Over priced ($20+) small portions (i was still hungry after I finished the roll and chips), food was cold AND overcooked (how?), they didn't serve us at the counter even tho they could see 3 of us waiting there, then proceded to take three times longer than a normal restaurant to come out to us and there was literally 4 people in the whole restaurant. We asked if they forgot our order and said they were preparing it while 3 employees were just standing around letting the burger roll sit there.

The only reason I didnt ask for my money back is because I was with people and didn't want to make a scene.

Save your money and go buy a sandwich thats been sitting at Coles for 3 days - and it'll be cheaper and taste better than whatever you order...
