I recently visited Karma Tea House, a popular vegetarian restaurant in Wollongong, after a day at the beach while heading back to Sydney. This place is well-known among locals and also attracts many visitors, and I can see why!
I tried the Vegetarian Zha Jiang Mian, the Coco Bunny dessert, and the Qing Tuan (green sticky rice balls). The flavors were delicious and satisfying. The dining environment was clean, relaxing, and welcoming, and the staff were incredibly friendly.
The prices are very reasonable, making it a great choice for anyone looking for a budget-friendly yet tasty vegetarian meal. They also offer breakfast sets that are very affordable—perfect for starting the day right!
If you’re in the area, I highly recommend stopping by Karma Tea House to experience their amazing food and warm hospitality. Let’s help them gain even more popularity—they...
Read moreHorrible experience - avoid at all costs. You can find better Sichuan food elsewhere. We were excited for Sichuan food initially after reading the reviews, however was disappointed with the service. We ordered the dry hotpot with 6 ingredients, and an eggplant with minced pork. The dry hotpot came out with beef in it, of which two of us can’t eat beef. We requested the staff to change it for us. He then asked if they can take the beef slices out instead. But we can’t eat beef, so we told him we would like it replaced completely and he agreed. To our horror, they just picked all the beef slices out (as there were beef slices hidden at the bottom) and the dish was served cold. If you agreed to replacing the dish, please stay true to your words. Also, our eggplant dish turns out to have no minced pork to be seen. So never again, you can try...
Read moreOur fried noodles with tofu ham and bean paste was well oiled and fried. With fresh cucumber and carrots it's a tasty meal. Although the waitress forgot I ordered the thick, fat rice noodles. The menu changes and I didn't notice the laksa this time. The faux prawns, deep fried, came with generous lashing of mayonnaise with tumeric, and, sarly, not vegetables or salad. Although cucumber and carrots and salad was stated on the menu . The tea options are fantastic. We dipped into the Pu'er, a full pot. From my last visit: I’ve only been once to this modern Chinese vegetarian spot in Wollongong. The lucky barbecue tofu rice bowl was colourful, easy and interesting. Although the stir fried tofu was quite salty. Accompanied by a jasmine tea, it’s an interesting lunch. I’ll be returning for more of the “we love noodles” options (hint: I’ll go...
