Hathi Restaurant — Restaurant in Graz

I was in there couple of times , Indian restaurants are known for serving guests and the great food. My personal experience is bad, attitude is on 7th sky and not a sign of basic etiquette. Couple of bad incident :

1. I was late to restaurant, had food. At last I ordered butter naan, they took the order and at last owner from the kitchen was shouting "this is not India, that you can order anything anytime" , if you were about to close, tell politely that we are closing so cannot serve. There is no reason to shout at your serving guys who took the order and demean your country name. It truly reflects your own character. Pack your bag, give the bill and leave restaurant immediately.

2. 2ND time I thought could be they were getting late, so let's forget and visit next time since other restaurants were fully booked. We ordered something, but they got something else. We said we didn't order this and they started arguing "why did we write on our note". They are no way eligible to manage full crowd. They mix the orders and blame the guests.

For me that was the last time in that restaurant. Never ever again I will go or recommend someone for this restaurant.

An Indian restaurant serving overpriced and non authentic Indian cuisine. The first look at the place left an impression of a cozy, nice restaurant 'maybe' serving Indian cuisine, but not so. The menu boasts of a rich Indian cuisine but the kitchen fails to deliver. The restaurant really lacks Indian hospitality, nor is the service any better. Overpriced average food being served by not so friendly staff. The so-called Indian bread without a tandoor is not possible, but here it is. I would suggest you buy it from any supermarket and reheat it yourself. The rice was however good and so was the location of the restaurant. Anyone wanting to eat Indian cuisine should not fall for the name, however grabbing a papadam or two with austrian beer is not a bad idea. I would not recommend this place to anyone wanting to experience Indian...

Update : I have tried their lunch buffet several times in the past 1 year and experience has been really good. Very fulfilling assortment of indian food. The quality is consistently good. The quality and service have certainly improved.

Old review: I have been to this place 3 times. The first 2 visits was with small groups and i had a decent experience. Recently i was there with a group of 10.Waiting time was huge. Starter :paneer pakora was rubbery and not good. We had ordered 7 curries ; bhendi tasted good , others were mediocre. The ambience is good. Lassi was a too watery and not thick as we expected it.
