Gave it 1 star because the whole dining experience was just uncomfortable. I sincerely wish we just left.
The waitress (could be one of the owners) was impatient, unhelpful, judgemental and full of attitude. Unnecessary to be impatient when we were the only customer aside from 1 table who already got their food. The kase dumpling would be the best out of the 4 we tried, but honestly way too overpriced. Like 1 tiny dumpling for 1.75 euros...we first just wanted to try one each to see which topping we liked but she didn't think our arrangement made sense and told us they are tiny you need to order more. When we said we didn't want any drinks, her response was you have cash, we are cash only. Not sure why that was the follow up. The waitress seemed to be in a bad mood, we overhead her having a loud conversation with another staff, maybe that's why she wasn't pleasant while serving her customers. Could be a bad day, who knows but when I read the reviews I see others commented on rude staff.
Overall the dumplings weren't bad, but not worth the price tag unless you sincerely really love dumplings. Waste of money...
Read moreThe food there is excellent. It's as simple as that... As we were told by one of the ladies who run the place, they offer freshly made soup every day. Unfortunatelly we were there too late to try. Anyways, the pierogi, sweet and savoury as well, are an absolute recommandation. And the best is, one can bring his/her vegitarian friend/spouse/family or whatever, as they offer a choice of vegitarian pierogi. And the sweet ones, that has to be emphazised once more, are incredible. Hardly ever had any sweets as good as those.. Another highlight is that they get most of the ingredients from local farmers and that adds to the splendid taste a good feeling to. The prices are average and by no means to high for what one gets. For their restaurant in Neutorgasse 28 it has to be said that the place is rather cosy. So maybe call in before going there and...
Read morePierogies!!! My son has fallen in love with these little pillows of heaven, and now, I have to learn how to make them at home! LOL! This little place is cozy. It's eclectic with wall decor, pictures of family and friends and crochet pierogies! The lady of the place wears many hats! She welcomes you, sits you down, ask what you would like to drink, places your order, cooks and serves you! Whew...I'm tired just watching her! We ordered the ground beef and cheese pierogies, along with a beer for the man and a glass of prosecco for the lady! The food was good and the prices were definitely reasonable. I especially loved the family picture of everyone making pierogies, check it out! Stop here if you're in the mood, you won't be...
