Cafe Toscana — Restaurant in Innsbruck

I don’t think I’ve had an experience as bad as this at any bar… The staff was very unfriendly, impatient and just grumpy. Sure, the atmosphere is great, but it’s not worth it.

It almost felt like the staff was making fun of us. They told a friend of mine that joined a little later that she HAS to consume something, otherwise she has to leave, even tho she just started looking at the menu. And mind you the rest of us have already ordered a bunch of drinks (inkluding a whole wine bottle). “I hope you don’t take this long making life-desicions/choices!” were her words, which also were not meant to be a funny or silly joke. “I know you’re students, but you’re not at the Treibhaus” (where you don’t have to necessarily consume something to be allowed to stay).

All in all it was just uncomfortable and very judgmental. I would not recommend and will not go...

Really really cool vibe in here. Lots of space to sit. Came on a Saturday around 7 and the place was busy but not packed. Looked like it was starting to fill up as we left. Only criticism is I had the worst martini of my life here. It was a dry martini and I think I was served straight vermouth on the rocks with a glass of water. Maybe Austrians do martinis differently but it was advertised as having vodka. Vibes were good enough to ignore that...

Die Atmosphäre im Lokal war wirklich schön. Leider war der Service sehr enttäuschend. Die Bedienung wirkte unfreundlich und machte den Eindruck, sich über uns lustig zu machen. Meine Bestellung wurde zwar abgeändert – was an sich nicht schlimm war – doch danach folgten mehrere unhöfliche Situationen.

Als zwei weitere Personen nachkamen, wurde eine von ihnen vor allen darauf hingewiesen, sie müsse etwas konsumieren, nur weil sie sich länger Zeit nahm, um die Karte anzuschauen – obwohl wir anderen längst bestellt hatten und sich sogar zwei von uns eine Flasche Wein teilten. Statt dies nur der betroffenen Person zu sagen, sprach die Kellnerin die gesamte Gruppe an und meinte, wir müssten alle konsumieren. Dazu kam der Kommentar, sie hoffe, diese Person brauche in anderen Lebenssituationen nicht so lange für Entscheidungen. Außerdem sagte sie, sie wisse ja, wir seien Studenten, aber hier sei nicht das „Treibhaus“ (dort muss man nicht zwingend konsumieren).

Insgesamt leider ein sehr unangenehmer Besuch trotz...
