I've been to different Hard Rock Cafes in different countries. Always food, drinks and service was great, never miss! Until i went to Hard Rock INNSBRUCK. We came over for dinner, no reservations, we were nicely accomodated, led to our table. Then came our server, who talks tough and loud. First question was, English or German? We asked for what she can recommend blah blah blah.. turns out she's actually friendly and funny, just that maybe the music is quite loud that she also had to talk really loud and tough? It's been years since i last visited a Hard Rock Cafe. That's why it felt good coming back and remembering all the good food and drinks which is always everywhere standard. Drinks were first served. And i noticed it right away.. the Hurricane is not in it's staple glass. It tasted bitter with alcohol already as the normal water glass which they used for it was quite small. Same with the glass of lemonade and mojito. The glasses for the iced tea were bigger. Then the platter, nachos and fries with cheese and bacon were served. Warm, quantity is just right for us 5, but it's not as good as the usual HR fingerfood platter. The fries and bacon were dry and not crispy at all, the sauces were not like how it used to be, chicken wings were quite salty actually.. overall it's simply not the usual Hard Rock food and drinks dining experience.. Although they were very accommodating in changing the Hurricane drink of my friend, which i assume that she will get the Hurricane glass as a gift, but they said it's not like that anymore. And that they actually run out of that particular glass that's why they used an ordinary glass, for a Hurricane! No wonder it tasted bitter already!
Just when we're about to get the bill, that's when i remembered that we're actually there bcoz we were having a pre bday celebration of two of our friends. Our server gathered her works colleagues and sang happy birthday to both my friends and gave them one glass of iced cream to share.
It could've been a better experience if only we were informed about the glasses of the drinks will be different from the start, and just a bit of improvement at the kitchen to keep the Hard Rock...
Read moreThis location is okay. The Rock Shop's selection of pins is your standard that you can get at every shop just with Innsbruck on it. No pins had the year on them. The shop overall is on the smaller side of your standard shops.
The restaurant portion had very nice staff. I had the Southwest spring rolls, which came out ice cold. When they brought them back, you could tell that they had just tossed them in a microwave as everything was softer, including the lettuce. I only mention this as a word of caution for ordinary this item here. If they don't do it right the first time, they won't remake it right. They will just put a bandaid on it and think it is just as good.
The Smokehouse BBQ Combo was decent. It's not something I would order from this location again... if I would even go back to this location. The food was above room temperature but not really hot. The only food that was hot and tasted amazing was the twisted mac.
Overall, the waitstaff was fantastic. The kitchen staff seemed to be having a really bad day even though it wasn't very busy at the time I went. I would suggest giving it a shot but having low expectations. That way, if everything is good, you can be pleasantly surprised.
Edit. I decided to come back to purchase more items from the rock shop. I drove in from the other side of Zurich after seeing that the Hard Rock was open until 10:00 pm. I get there at 8:04 to find the Rock Shop closed. When I asked I was told that they close at 8:00 pm. I asked where on their website they say that, and they said it isn't on their website bilut it says it right put side the restaurant.
The restaurant was lousy the first time and absolutely terrible the second time. I have been to a lot of Hard Rock's (7 in the last 2 months and 30 total), and this is one of the worst I have ever been to. I can't recommend this...

First of all, the lady that was serving outside was not interested in her job probably. When I sat down in my first table, a group of four people came after me and wanted to smoke cigarettes and I wanted to change my place to another table. I asked her that I would like to move to another table, she asked why with unhappy face! I guess I can change my place if there is another one available. I do not have to justify for her why I wanted to move, but it was because of people smoking. I have moved my all stuff, so no thank to you. Second, when my food came, she didn’t bother to check if we need anything after getting the food (water.. sweet…etc). I asked the waiter who brought the food that I need tap water, he never came back. Regarding the food, I ordered chicken fajita and the chicken has a smell and it was black/brown color which taste terrible. So, dear Hard Rock, it is simple math, I moved once not twice. As for your tap water, thanks for letting me know it is free. I guess that’s why it has the word “tap”. For me asking about the taxes in receipt, I just want to make sure that you get ZERO % service charge and tip. Finally, I went to the toilet to clean and to comeback and pay. She told me I have to go to my table to pay. Not sure why would that make any difference! I said no problem, but the issue that you have give me table to another group of people already.
