Marktplatz Innsbruck — Attraction in Innsbruck

You can go there to see the river Inn where the name of the city comes from or the colorful houses of Innsbruck. You can also go there for some events depending of the time of the year. For example, there'll be Christkindlmarkt (Christmas market) in winter. I've also witnessed some sport events like beach volleyball tournament (for sure they are arranging the environment depending of the sort of the event). We had a dinner there immediately after putting our bags in the hotel room after a somewhat tiresome journey to the city of Innsbruck. It was raining and we were hungry so while we sat there having dinner, the weather got better and we continued on with our overview tour of the old city. There's an underground parking lot in there, and alot of hotels, awesome combo for travelers, recommend this area as a starting point for your visit...
