I am shocked by the good reviews. We went to this restaurant on Saturday. From the start the service was AWFUL. All the waiters that were young were so rude I couldn’t believe it. After finally being able to order, I ordered the main course of calamari, shrimp and vegetables and a side of potatoes. My partner ordered a pizza. His pizza came within 5 minutes. I then sat and waited with nothing until we had to say something about my main. It then came out as soon as they checked on it. The potatoes then came 10 mins later after I had finished my food. I don’t know if this place is a it’s served when the food is ready, but we were not told once about this.
The pizza was lovely. My main of calamari, shrimp and vegetables was AWFUL. I have never tasted anything so bad in my life.
We then just wanted to leave so asked for the bill. The bill came to 50 euros. We gave 60 euros as had no change. The male waiter then didn’t bring us our 10 euros change. I couldn’t believe it. When we then asked the other waiter they said they couldn’t give us the change as they had no evidence that we gave 60 euros. We laughed and then left - we couldn’t believe the experience we had just had.
This restaurant really lets down how amazing and friendly the people of Innsbruck are.
Overall I would not recommend this place at all - don’t...
Read moreI remember eating there years ago and it was a decent restaurant, even somewhat finer dining, but management must have changed because food and service has gone extremely downhill. We waited 50+ minutes for a simple pizza and a basic cold salad. The pizza came first and it took ANOTHER 10 minutes for the salad to arrive. I think they simply forgot the order. The food itself was also sub par, especially for the price. The tomato sauce on the pizza was barely room temperature with the texture and taste of Ketchup and the cheese was only half melted. Meanwhile the salad, as basic and simple as it was, was a 50min wait for dry vegetables thrown in a bowl, no presentation, nothing fancy, just expensive with a ridiculous waiting time. Also the staff seemed somewhat overworked, the whole vibe being "quick quick", which isnt necessarily what you want as a paying customer on a relaxed night out eating. All in all a major decline in quality from what it used to be. Wont be visiting anymore. "Manna" in the old city is a far superior recommendation, its close by, same price with exponentially better service and really excellent and...
Read moreWe were right in middle of our culinary tour through all the places that offer real Italian pizza pies. Like only few remaining restaurants in Innsbruck, this one still has a wood burning oven and the pies really are delicious as a result of this treatment. Fresh ingredients and very tasty basic sauce, just as it’s supposed to be. The dough, perfectly made, just the right texture and flavor. Personally, I love the namesake pies of the place, they are utterly delicious. Whilst I can’t give the top spot to the „Pizzerei“ I certainly rank them Top Three, easily. Probably number two, if I’m being pressed for a number. Great time and great service, so nothing but good things to mention, nothing to criticize or complain about, and if there wasn’t that other place a bit further into the older parts of the city, I probably would’ve ranked it higher still. Thanks for...
