Pizzeria Ciro — Restaurant in Salzburg

I stayed at a nearby hostel and opted to walk here rather than eat at the pizza place next door that was more overpriced with less options. The area seemed strange with not much else around but once we arrived it was pretty full with lots of local people. The menu is almost all pizza so don’t come here for anything else. Prices were extremely reasonable and matched their website. Pizza and tap water came to 10 bucks which was enough I thought. Service was slow but there was only one cook for all the pizzas and a full room so I wasn’t surprised. The pizza itself had lots of oil on top which I didn’t mind but thought was a bit over the top. I’m not sure if this is the same for all or just the margarita Would rather it be in the side for dipping crust maybe. I think that this was a much better option and more affordable than many of the touristy places deeper in the city. I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here unless you are already staying in this side of town but am very satisfied with what I found on...

A great place for a great dinner, very cosy environment. Not so expensive and very friendly staff. They have english menu and, although not all staff speak in English, they are very attentive and call the ones that speak ensligh to help us. Actually there was a little mishap while we were there and the staff we super nice with us.

The waitress asked if we wanted starters, and she offered us mussels, the 5 of us understood something else, and we imagined that the dish would be like a bread-like with tomato sauce. When the muscles arrived 3 of the 5 did not eat the mussels. Obviously this was our fault because we misunderstood. Then we asked them if it would be ok to give back one of the dishes (we ordered 2), and at the end they were so nice that they did not charge us for one of the mussles plates.

Bewertung Restaurant pizzeria Da Ciro in Salzburg Montag 27.01.2025 gegen 19:00 An unserem erster Abend als Hamburger in Salzburg suchten wir für heute ein Restaurant. Montags ist oft Ruhetag und wir waren froh, dank Google und auch einigen guten Rezessionen das Restaurant Da Ciro zu finden. Erfreulich auch ein Parkplatz vor Ort! Freundliches Willkommen und eine umfangreiche Pizza Karte mit verschiedensten vegetarischen Pizzen, dabei preislich okay (13,50 € Pizza). Zweimal classic Pizza Vegetariana (Tomatensoße, Käse und Ofengemüse) haben wir bestellt dazu stilles Wasser (Röhmer Quell 0,75l). Die offene Flasche wurde kurz drauf an den Platz gebracht?! Nach einer knappen viertel Stunde kamen die ofenfrischen (Holzofen) warmen Pizzen. Beide waren leider am Rand stark verbrannt. Der vegetarische Belag bestand aus drei dünnen Paprikastreifen, drei dünnen Auberginen Scheiben und drei dünnen Zucchinischeiben. Der Belag wirkte sehr verloren auf der Pizza. Da wir andernorts regelmäßig vegetarische Pizzen mit Gemüse bestellen, hatten wir gewisse Vorstellungen …. Diese wurden bei dem Anblick und leider auch dem Geschmack (recht fetter Käsebelag) sehr enttäuscht. Auf Rückfrage beim Kellner über den Zustand und den sehr dürftigen Belag kam nur die Antwort „so ist es bei uns üblich“. Die Fotos auf der Website sprechen, aber eine andere Sprache! Der Chef des Restaurants saß mit einigen Italienern am Nachbartisch und zeigte trotz eines kurzen Gespräches mit dem Kellner keinerlei Reaktion. Mit den im übrigen sehr stumpfen und kurzen Messern war ein zerteilen der Pizza sehr mühsam, hier hätten Steakmesser oder bereits mit einem Pizzaschneider vor geteilte Stücke sehr geholfen. Wir sind von der Qualität der Pizza als auch von der Reaktion des Kellners, wie auch des Chefs mehr als enttäuscht. Wünsche und auch Kritik von Gästen können der Qualitätsverbesserung dienen und den Ruf eines Restaurants heben! Ein solcher Umgang mit Kritik ist enttäuschend und letztendlich für den Ruf eines Restaurants nicht dienlich. Vielleicht wird diese Kritik ja jetzt doch noch genutzt, um zukünftigen Gästen bessere italienische Qualität...
