Numa Salzburg Vogelweider — Hotel in Salzburg

My wife and I had two major issues with this property. ||||First was the location. Based on the pictures and the description, we were led to believe that I was renting a room in a property fairly close to the primary old town. It should be noted that we are very experienced travelers (together, we have visited over 75 countries). I have been to Salzburg three times previously, so I know what area all tourists spend their time in. The information provided was highly deceptive. ||||This property was a 30-minute walk to the center of the old town. It was so far away that we spent over 80 euros in cab fare during our two days going back and forth to our hotel. The photos and description were so deceptive that I reached out via phone (at an unknown additional cost to us) to see if we were at the correct property. ||||Please also note that the property is located in a semi-industrial area with drab - Soviet-style - apartment buildings and warehouses. In other words, there are no cute bistros around the corner for breakfast. |||| Second, upon turning down our sheets for the first evening, we found a quarter-sized dark brownish stain in the middle of our sheet. This is an excellent hotel, slightly away from the old city centre but well connected. The rooms are modern and kept tidy before arrival. Standard cleaning service is once in a week during the stay. Breakfast can be opted for during the booking or purchased later. Vegan and gluten free options are available. During our stay breakfast was delivered at the doorstep at 6:30 AM sharp. The portion size was huge and it was scrumptious.

Just one thing to bear in mind is that there is no staff physically available at the premises. Instead of a reception unlike in standard hotels, the guest experience team is available 24/7 on WhatsApp. Therefore, resolution of issues (though rare) might take quite some time.

This is a definitely a recommended property if you are moderately tech savvy and looking for accommodation in Salzburg.

PS- It is suggested that guests complete the online check-in on the Numa app before arrival for a seamless experience and have a working internet pack on their phones...
